WE'RE #1, WHEN IT COMES TO #2

DESTINATION AMERICA'S NEW SERIES "KING OF THRONES" PREMIERES TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 AT 10PM E/P

(Silver Spring, Md.) - The average American spends as much time in the bathroom each year as they do on vacation - 14 days! So why not make the washroom a welcoming oasis where one can get away from it all while taking care of "business?" Destination America's KING OF THRONES - premiering on Tuesday, September 10 at 10pm E/P - is transforming boring, old and downright disgusting bathrooms into over-the-top prized potties and more. From a portable latrine that can keep an angler's "seat" warm while ice fishing, to a tech-lovers high-class fortress of solitude, the new home improvement series builds porcelain thrones fit for a king.

"This country is full of great innovators, engineers and designers and many of these great works often shine in the bathroom - thank you to the American inventor who put TP on rolls! So here is Destination America's ode to the commode," said Marc Etkind, general manager of Destination America. "We are 'flush' with excitement to feature these master craftsmen and manufacturers who are dreaming and designing the impossible - bringing to life some of the most extreme bathrooms in the country."

KING OF THRONES follows Hoxie Homes and Remodeling, a northern Minnesota-based crew of contractors, carpenters and designers who've built a "crap-load" of high-end bathrooms featuring giant flat-screen TVs, heated toilets, body dryers and even shower jets for a dog. Led by Jeff Hoxie and his partner Dave Koob, the team will stop at nothing to meet their clients' imaginative needs. In the series premiere episode, the team is tasked with building a portable, fully heated outhouse that can be used while ice fishing, complete with running water and a custom painted mural. With only a week and a half to finish the job, the pressure is on to not only design, build and deliver the project, but to somehow get it out of the shop's doors.

The line-up for the first three episodes of KING OF THRONES is as follows:

HIGH-TECH BATHROOM & MOBILE OUTHOUSE

Premieres Tuesday, September 10 at 10pm E/P

Ryan & Jess have a doorless bathroom that was planned so poorly, that anyone lying in their bed has a direct view of the toilet. Hoping to turn the washroom from a peep show to palace, Ryan wants the finest technology available, while Jess is seeking the spa treatment -- but will their budget match the giant wishlist? Then, in one of the strangest requests they've had, Jeff and Dave have a customer who wants a mobile porta-potty to bring with him on a frozen lake for ice fishing...through the bottom of the bathroom!

SILENT BUT DEADLY BATHROOM & BACHELOR PAD

Premieres Tuesday, September17 at 10pm E/P

When a retired grandpa moves in and has to share the throne with 6-year-old twins, the chaos, and the smell, becomes too much for mom to take. Somehow, Jeff and Dave have to fix this bathroom to accommodate three generations of this frustrated family. Later, the guys take on a client living in a bachelor pad who is demanding more storage in the tiniest bathroom they've ever seen.

GADGETS GALORE BATHROOM & PORTA-POTTY

Premieres Tuesday, September24 at 10pm E/P

Amy, a designer who worked hard to decorated her entire house, has decided she will let her husband, Roger have whatever he wants in the master bath -- but does she really mean it? Jeff and Dave are leery about having a designer as a client, but when Roger's bathroom ideas turn into major construction on the house, they may flip out before Amy does. Then, when the Lions Club needs a new bathroom for their annual outdoor fair, they go to straight to the kings of thrones. Jeff and Dave are given five days to come up with an elegant porta-potty that will be used by 1,000 people each day, AND must look like a covered wagon!

KING OF THRONES is produced by Magilla. For Magilla, Matthew Ostrom, Laura Palumbo Johnson and Brian Flanagan are executive producers. For Destination America, Sara Helman is executive producer, Sara Kozak is SVP of production, Marc Etkind is general manager, and Henry Schleiff is group president.
