ESPN Announces Sunday Women's College Basketball Package on ESPN

Return of Big Monday on ESPN2 Begins January 13

The top Division I women's basketball programs in the nation will be showcased in a new ESPN Sunday afternoon package, in addition to ESPN2's Big Monday presented by Bud Light series. The five-week series - a first for women's college basketball - will begin February 2. The popular weekly Big Monday series on ESPN2, in its eighth season, will run from January 13 to March 3, including doubleheaders on January 27 and February 10.

All games will be accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members and on Apple TV to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.

The schedule will feature seven 2013 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Americans: Stefanie Dolson (Connecticut); Chelsea Grey (Duke); Kayla McBride (Notre Dame); Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (Connecticut); Chiney Ogwumike (Stanford); Odyssey Sims (Baylor) and Alyssa Thomas (Maryland), in addition the 2013 Final Four Most Outstanding Player Breanna Stewart (Connecticut) and several teams listed in bracketologist Charlie Creme's espnW 2013-14 preseason top 25.

espnW will supplement ESPN's in-depth schedule with season-long content, including a preview piece that will run November 4-8.

Big Monday highlights:

· Preseason favorites No. 1 Connecticut, No. 2 Duke, No. 3 Tennessee, No. 5 Maryland, No. 10 Notre Dame and No. 12 Baylor will each make two appearances, with 13 ranked teams featured in the schedule.

· Defending National Champion Connecticut opens the Big Monday package on January 13 at Baylor and also closes the schedule at No. 8 Louisville on March 3 - a rematch of the National Championship Game.

· Two doubleheaders include:

· January 27 - Notre Dame at Maryland at 7 p.m., followed by USC at No. 4 Stanford at 9 p.m.

· February 10 - No. 7 North Carolina at Duke at 7 p.m., followed by No. 22 Vanderbilt at Tennessee at 9 p.m.

ESPN Sunday highlights:

· As the predicted top preseason team in the ACC, Duke will play three times on the ESPN Sunday package, including both games featuring new league member Notre Dame on February 2 and February 23.

· A top American matchup will pit Louisville at Connecticut on February 9, followed by a SEC tilt on February 16 between No. 6 Kentucky at Tennessee.

· With potential conference title implications on the line again, North Carolina will host Duke on March 2, closing out the regular-season Sunday schedule.

espnW.com content highlights:

· Season preview will include complete preseason top-25 rankings and top five players at each position.

· Each week, writers Mechelle Voepel, Graham Hays, Kate Fagan and Michelle Smith, as well as analyst Rebecca Lobo, will write in-depth profiles of some of the nation's top teams, players and coaches.

· Beginning Monday, Jan. 13, and running each week, "In Tune for Nashville" will give a comprehensive look at all the latest news from the teams in the nation.

· Prior to each Big Monday game, an updated Bracketology segment from Creme and a game preview for that night's matchup, as well as postgame coverage with video analysis will be posted on espnW.
