TLC RENEWS "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?"
Current season finale airs tonight with Jim Parsons
TLC has picked up another season of WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?, the network announced today, with an order of 10 one-hour original episodes to air in 2014. The series, which has been averaging 1.8M P2+ viewers in its first season on TLC, famously takes celebrities on a journey into their personal histories, mining their surprising pasts to reveal unknown details about themselves and their families. It is Executive Produced by Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky, and the current season has featured A-list names, including Christina Applegate, Kelly Clarkson, Cindy Crawford, Zooey Deschanel, Chelsea Handler, Chris O'Donnell, and Trisha Yearwood.
Actor Jim Parsons is the focus of tonight's current season finale (September 10 at 9/8c on TLC), following as he explores the ancestors on his paternal side of the family, in tribute to his father. The journey takes Jim to Louisiana and eventually France, where he discovers generations of his forefathers who made an indelible mark in history. Executive producer Dan Bucatinsky will live-tweet the episode at @WDYTYA during the east coast premiere.
WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? is produced for TLC by Shed Media US and Is or Isn't Entertainment. The series is based on an original format created by Wall to Wall Media and Alex Graham.
