DISNEY CHANNEL AND DISNEY XD CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
WITH NEW "THIS IS ME" INTERSTITIALS SPOTLIGHTING YOUNG VIEWERS SHARING UNIQUE ASPECTS OF THEIR CULTURE
Disney Channel and Disney XD celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month beginning SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 with viewers sharing unique aspects of their culture, in a new installment of the original interstitial series, "This Is Me." Filmed at the Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach, the Disney Channel interstitials feature kids expressing their thoughts on their heroes, families and passions, and what Hispanic Heritage Month means to them. The Disney XD interstitial features a 14-year-old bike enthusiast discussing his passion for customizing bikes, inspired by previous generations in his family and their love for mechanics and engineering.
Geared towards kids and tweens, the "This Is Me" series is designed to celebrate the uniqueness of everyday kids and highlight aspects of their lives that have made them who they are today.
Disney Channel is a 24-hour kid-driven, family inclusive television network that taps into the world of kids and families through original series and movies. Currently available on basic cable in over 99 million U.S. homes and to millions of other viewers on Disney Channels around the world, Disney Channel is part of the Disney/ABC Television Group.
