BBC AMERICA FALL PREVIEW

BURTON AND TAYLOR

Burton and Taylor stars BAFTA award-winning actors Dominic West (The Hour, The Wire) and Helena Bonham Carter (Les Misérables, The King's Speech) as Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor - Hollywood's most volatile on-again-off-again lovers who famously played out every high and low of their love affairs, multiple marriages and divorces right in the public eye. Recognized as one of the most fascinating, glamorous and tempestuous relationships of the 20th century, Burton and Taylor made their last stage appearance together in the critically reviled 1983 revival of Noel Coward's stage play, Private Lives. This is the story of their ill-fated reunion, on and off stage.

Burton and Taylor premieres Wednesday, October, 16, 9:00pm ET/PT.

ATLANTIS

BBC AMERICA's new 13-part fantasy drama series, created by Howard Overman (Misfits), Julian Murphy (Merlin) and Johnny Capps (Merlin), is set in a time of legendary heroes and mythical creatures. A mysterious place; a world of bull leaping, of snake haired Goddesses and of palaces so vast it was said they were built by giants - this is the lost city of Atlantis. The cast includes Mark Addy (Game of Thrones), Jemima Rooper (One Man, Two Guvnors, Hex), Juliet Stevenson (The Hour), Sarah Parish (Hatfields & McCoys), Robert Emms (War Horse), Aiysha Hart (About Time) and Jack Donnelly (Dancing On The Edge).

Atlantis premieres Saturday, November 23 as part of Supernatural Saturday.

AN ADVENTURE IN SPACE AND TIME

An Adventure in Space and Time tells the story of the genesis of Doctor Who - which first aired on November 23, 1963 - and the many personalities involved. David Bradley (Game of Thrones, Harry Potter) plays the first ever Doctor, the iconic William Hartnell, in the drama written by Mark Gatiss (Sherlock, Doctor Who), who also serves as executive producer alongside Steven Moffat (Doctor Who, Sherlock) and Caroline Skinner (Doctor Who, The Fades), and directed by Terry McDonough (Breaking Bad). The BBC's Head of Drama Sydney Newman, credited with the creation of the show, is portrayed by Brian Cox (The Bourne Supremacy) and the producer, Verity Lambert, by Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife). The director of the first ever episode "An Unearthly Child," Waris Hussein, will be played by Sacha Dhawan (History Boys, Last Tango In Halifax).

An Adventure in Space and Time will premiere in November 2013 on BBC AMERICA.

DOCTOR WHO 50th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL

The centerpiece of BBC AMERICA's celebrations of Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary will be the special anniversary episode, The Day of the Doctor, premiering Saturday, November 23. The special will be feature length with 75 minutes of adventure. The Day of the Doctor stars Matt Smith (How to Catch a Monster), David Tennant (Broadchurch), Jenna Coleman (Dancing on the Edge), with Billie Piper (Secret Diary of a Call Girl) and John Hurt (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Alien). This is the first time David Tennant and Billie Piper have appeared in the series since their farewells in 2010. The special will be a celebration for long-time fans and an opportunity for those new to the series to jump onboard.

The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary - The Day of the Doctor premieres November 23 on BBC AMERICA.

RIPPER STREET

Matthew MacFadyen (Inspector Edmund Reid), Jerome Flynn (Sergeant Bennett Drake) and Adam Rothenberg (Captain Homer Jackson) are back for a second-season of the critically-acclaimed drama Ripper Street. As the century enters its final decade in 1890, the streets teeter on the brink of moral collapse, and nowhere is the declining British Empire's problems felt more keenly than in its dark heart: the East End of London. H Division - the precinct charged with keeping order - must work diligently to police the toughest district in London. New characters join our trio this season including Daniel Judge (David Costabile, Lincoln), as Jackson's troubled brother, Detective Constable Albert Flight (Damien Molony, Being Human), who joins Reid and Drake in H Division and Inspector Jedidiah Shine (Joseph Mawle, Game of Thrones), Reid's corrupt rival in K Division.

Ripper Street returns Sunday, December 1, 10:00pm ET/PT.

FLEMING: THE MAN WHO WOULD BE BOND

BBC AMERICA's Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond takes a no holds barred look at Ian Fleming, the man behind the James Bond legend whose real life was as exciting, eventful and sexually charged as his famous creation. Film star, Dominic Cooper (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Devil's Double) will portray Fleming - a charming, sophisticated maverick whose dilettanti, pleasure seeking life was turned around by WWII and led to the creation of the best known spy the world has ever known. The cast also includes Lara Pulver (True Blood, Sherlock), Annabelle Wallis (Hello Carter, The Tudors), Lesley Manville (Maleficent, Another Year), Anna Chancellor (The Hour, How I Live Now), Samuel West (Mr. Selfridge, Hyde Park on Hudson) and Rupert Evans (World Without End, Hellboy).

Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond premieres January 2014.
