CULVER CITY, CA (October 9, 2013) - Crackle, the multi-platform entertainment network, announced the Los Angeles-based production of the second season of their original series "Chosen," with returning star Milo Ventimiglia. Joining the lead cast is Chad Michael Murray ("One Tree Hill") as new character Jacob Orr. Sarah Roemer (DISTURBIA) and Brandon Routh (SUPERMAN RETURNS) will also join the second season, with return performances by Nicky Whelan (HALL PASS, "Scrubs") and Brett Davern ("Awkward"). The new season marks the return of executive producers Ventimiglia alongside series creators Ben Ketai (30 DAYS OF NIGHT: DARK DAYS) and Ryan Lewis (HIGH SCHOOL, FAT KID RULES THE WORLD). Written by Evan Charnov (LOST BOYS: THE THIRST) and Ketai, the new season will consist of six half-hour episodes and will premiere in late 2013 on Crackle.

Continuing the story of Ian Mitchell (Ventimiglia) and his family, the second season of "Chosen" goes deeper into the deadly game the Mitchells were swept into and follows the lives of others who also received mysterious boxes forcing them to kill - or else. The second season ensures to pack more thrills, suspense and jaw-dropping moments.

The first season of "Chosen" exceeded expectations as one of Crackle's most-watched original series ever. The paranoiac thriller also saw records for user engagement, with most viewers watching all episodes.

As one of the few digital series to return with more episodes, the second season of "Chosen" will strengthen Crackle's acclaimed portfolio of originals which includes EXTRACTION, Crackle's first digital feature which debuted in September; the original series "Cleaners," starring Emmanuelle Chriqui, Emily Osment and David Arquette, which debuted October 3; and the Emmy-nominated series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" starring Jerry Seinfeld.
