Stamford, Conn. - October 30, 2013 - NBCUniversal will surround its coverage of the Breeders' Cup with a diverse collection of assets ranging from sports to news to entertainment. It will also utilize online outlets and theme parks. The wide-ranging Breeders' Cup activation is part of NBC Sports Group's big event strategy.

Live NBC Sports Group coverage of the Breeders' Cup World Championships begins on Friday, November 1, from 4-8 p.m. ET on NBCSN, continues on Saturday, November 2, from 3:30-8 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and culminates with the live primetime broadcast of the Breeders' Cup Classic, Saturday, November 2, 8-9 p.m. ET on NBC.

In addition, live Breeders' Cup bonus coverage will air during NBCSN's 3 p.m. Notre Dame-Navy pregame show. In the first segment of the pregame show, NBCSN will televise live the $2,000,000 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies race, which has a 3:05 p.m. ET post time.

NBCUNIVERSAL SURROUNDS THE BREEDERS' CUP

TODAY: TODAY will present an interview with Hall of Fame jockey and 2013 Preakness winner Gary Stevens, who is riding in nine of the 14 races at Breeders' Cup, on Friday, November 1.

ACCESS HOLLYWOOD: Access Hollywood's Billy Bush will host the first half hour of the primetime show, which will focus on the spectacle and scene of the Breeders' Cup, as well as contributing features and handling celebrity interviews. On Friday, November 1, Access Hollywood Live will feature Breeders' Cup content.

THE WEATHER CHANNEL: Wake Up with Al hosts Al Roker and Stephanie Abrams will provide a race day forecast on Friday, November 1.

E!: E! News' Catt Sadler will contribute celebrity interviews and reports from the Breeders' Cup "purple carpet." Sadler will also appear on E! News on Friday to discuss the Breeders' Cup, and E! News will present a Breeders' Cup lifestyle segment this week. E! Online will feature Breeders' Cup official milliner Christine A. Moore, one of the world's leading headwear designers, in 'The Trend' section. E! Online will also feature photos in their gallery section highlighting the fashion from Santa Anita on Friday and Saturday.

NBCSN: SportsDash with Yahoo! Sports hosted by Dave Briggs and Carolyn Manno will cover Breeders' Cup.

NBC SPORTS REGIONAL NETWORKS & NEWSCHANNEL/AFFILIATES: Interviews with NBC's Breeders' Cup announcers will be featured on multiple NBC Sports Regional Networks platforms and will be provided to 238 NBC Affiliate and Owned Television Stations nationwide.

BREEDERS' CUP "ALL ACCESS" ON NBCSPORTS.COM: Horseracing fans and fans of the celebrities and fashion of the Breeders' Cup can access content leading up to, and through the event at NBCSports.com/BreedersCup. Fans can access and sort social media content from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram through various streams spanning horses, fashion, celebrities and more. The "All Access" page aggregates what's trending, Breeders' Cup video and photo content.

DAILYCANDY: The premier digital women's brand for fashion, food, and entertainment will promote via social media and through "The Download" weekend guide.

UNIVERSAL THEME PARKS: Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles will help promote NBC Sports Groups' coverage of the Breeders' Cup with in-park promotions and by featuring an NBC Sports-produced video on CityWalk's big outdoor screen along with kickoff signage on print billboards throughout the theme parks.
