NEW YORK, October 30, 2013 - SPIKE TV and Open Road Films today announced that they have reached an agreement for a film package that includes the first window broadcast premiere of Open Road Films titles KILLER ELITE, THE GREY, END OF WATCH, MACHETE KILLS, and HOMEFRONT.

"These films are certain to be popular with Spike TV's audience," stated Tom Ortenberg, CEO of Open Road Films. "Kevin Kay and Tom Zappala have a keen eye for what their viewers want and we are very happy to partner with them to bring these titles to Spike TV."

"We are thrilled to partner with Open Road Films whose cache of films are sure to resonate with our broadening, gender-balanced audience," said Kevin Kay, Spike TV President.

The deal was negotiated on behalf of Open Road Films by Ortenberg, Rand Stoll, Head of TV Sales, and Elliott Kleinberg, General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Operations and Business Affairs.

The first position windows for THE GREY, END OF WATCH, MACHETE KILLS, and HOMEFRONT will be between 2013 and 2016. KILLER ELITE premieres on Spike TV Monday, November 11 at 5pm ET/PT.

Descriptions of the films follow:

KILLER ELITE

Based on a shocking true story, "Killer Elite" pits two of the world's most elite operatives - Danny, an ex-special ops agent (Jason Statham) and Hunter, his longtime mentor (Robert De Niro) - against the cunning leader of a secret military society (Clive Owen). Covering the globe from Australia to Paris, London and the Middle East, Danny and Hunter are plunged into a highly dangerous game of cat and mouse - where the predators become the prey. Killer Elite was directed by Gary McKendry.

THE GREY

THE GREY opened to #1 at the boxoffice. Starring Liam Neeson, Frank Grillo, Dermot Mulroney and Dallas Roberts, in "The Grey," Liam Neeson leads an unruly group of oil-rig roughnecks when their plane crashes into the remote Alaskan wilderness. Battling mortal injuries and merciless weather, the survivors have only a few days to escape the icy elements - and a vicious pack of rogue wolves on the hunt - before their time runs out. THE GREY was directed by Joe Carnahan.

END OF WATCH

End Of Watch opened to #1 at the boxoffice. A powerful story of family, friendship, love, honor and courage, End Of Watch stars Academy Award(R) nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña as young Los Angeles police officers Taylor and Zavala as they patrol the city's meanest streets of south central Los Angeles. Giving the story a gripping, first-person immediacy, the action unfolds through footage from the handheld HD cameras of the police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, and citizens caught in the line of fire to create a riveting portrait of the city's most dangerous corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay. The cast of END OF WATCH also includes Anna Kendrick, Natalie Martinez, Frank Grillo, America Ferrera, David Harbour. END OF WATCH was directed by David Ayer.

MACHETE KILLS

Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Carlos Estevez, Lady Gaga, Antonio Banderas, Jessica Alba, Demian Bichir, Alexa Vega, Vanessa Hudgens, Cuba Gooding, Jr., William Sadler, Marko Zaror and Mel Gibson star in Machete Kills, an action-packed thrill ride about the adventures of legendary secret agent Machete Cortez (Danny Trejo). In his latest mission, Machete is recruited by the U.S. President (Carlos Estevez) to stop a crazed global terrorist (Mel Gibson) from starting a nuclear war. With a bounty on his head, Machete faces death at every turn from an all-star cast of deadly assassins. Breaking all the rules, visionary director Robert Rodriguez leads this star-studded ensemble on one of the wildest adventures to save the world ever captured on film!

HOMEFRONT

The upcoming film HOMEFRONT hits theaters nationwide on November 27, 2013. Starring Jason Statham, James Franco, Winona Ryder, Kate Bosworth and Frank Grillo, HOMEFRONT is an action movie about a widowed ex-DEA agent (Jason Statham) who retires to a small town for the sake of his 10-year-old daughter. The only problem is he picked the wrong town. HOMEFRONT was written by Sylvester Stallone and directed by Gary Fleder.
