NEW YORK, November 5, 2013 - MTV today announced that viewers in the U.S. will get a first-time, front row seat to an expanded "2013 MTV EMA" broadcast that will kick-off live from New York City on Sunday, November 10 beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT*.

U.S. hosts Darren Criss from "Glee," platinum selling singer/songwriter Cher Lloyd and Andrew Schulz from MTV's "Guy Code" and "The Hook Up" will be joined by rockers Fall Out Boy, pop star Jason Derulo, teen singing sensation Austin Mahone in his first appearance following his recent illness, The Wanted and "2013 MTV EMA" backstage host Ariana Grande.

The "2013 MTV EMA" U.S. telecast will then jump overseas to Amsterdam where announced performers Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, Robin Thicke, Katy Perry, Snoop Dogg, Imagine Dragons, Afrojack and The Killers will light up the biggest party in the world. Also set to appear is the evening's MC Redfoo of LMFAO, backstage host Ariana Grande and presenters Ron Burgundy of Anchorman 2 (Will Ferrell), recording artist and model Iggy Azalea, singer/songwriter Ellie Goulding, singer/actress Carice van Houten (Game of Thrones) and actor Colton Haynes (Arrow, Teen Wolf), Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto and singer/songwriter/actress Bridgit Mendler.

Starting at 3pm ET/PT, Criss, Schulz and Lloyd will break into MTV programming once an hour live from New York to update U.S. fans of all the happenings from the EMA Red Carpet in Amsterdam. The "2013 MTV EMA" is sponsored in the U.S. by New 5(R) Focus(TM) Gum, LG Mobile, Herbal Essences, Taco Bell(R) and T-Mobile(R).

The MTV EMA - MTV's global celebration of the hottest stars in music - recognizes artists from around the world and across genres, and brings together music fans everywhere for a one-of-a-kind experience in the weeks leading up to and at the show. Fans in the United States (as well as the rest of the world) can vote now for EMA categories such as Best Song, Best Pop, Best New, Best Live, Biggest Fans, and more by visiting www.mtvema.com online or http://m.mtvema.com on their mobile phones. Voting for EMA categories is open now until 11:59PM CET on Friday, November 8th, 2013.

Additionally, U.S. fans can now vote via Twitter, Instagram and Vine for six of music's most compelling new artists that are in that pivotal moment where they're just starting to grab the world's attention. Nominees for the inaugural "Artists on the Rise" award are Lorde (#votelorde), Ariana Grande (#votearianagrande), Austin Mahone (#voteaustinmahone), Cher Lloyd (#votecherlloyd), Cody Simpson (#votecodysimpson), and Bridgit Mendler (#votebridgitmendler). With the EMAs taking place in Amsterdam a few hours before the U.S. airing, the Artists on the Rise award will provide U.S. fans a global stake in the show, with voting open until the big moment where the winner is announced during the U.S. telecast. Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the "2013 MTV EMA" nominations with five nods each, while Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke are each up for four awards. Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Green Day, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Daft Punk, Rudimental, Icona Pop and One Direction are each nominated for three awards. Artists with two EMA nods include Rihanna, Katy Perry, Eminem, Jay Z, Bastille, Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Paramore, Rita Ora, Drake, Afrojack, Avicii, Calvin Harris and Iggy Azalea. MTV will announce additional EMA performers and presenters at a later date.

Outside the U.S., the "2013 MTV EMA" will broadcast live Sunday, November 10th at 9:00PM CET*.
