Nearly 40 NFL Players, Coaches and NFL Network Talent Lend Voices for Season Three Including Robert Griffin III, Calvin Johnson and J.J. Watt

NEW YORK-Nov. 20, 2013- NFL RUSH ZONE: Guardians Unleashed, the third installment of the Emmy Award-nominated series, premieres tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 8:30 p.m. (ET) on Nicktoons, continuing the journey of Ishmael (Ish) and his hero friends, the Guardians, on their quest to protect the NFL and world from new and familiar villains. The 20-episode series, co-produced by Nickelodeon and the NFL, is based on NFL RUSH ZONE, the NFL's online world for kids. Featuring an assortment of NFL players and coaches, NFL RUSH ZONE: Guardians Unleashed will air regularly Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. (ET) on Nicktoons and Saturdays at 8:00 a.m. (ET) on NFL Network.

Season three of NFL RUSH ZONE: Guardians Unleashed continues the action-packed adventures of Guardians Ish, Ash, Troy, Tua, Marty and Ricky, and brings viewers even more excitement when new powers and villains are revealed. Throughout the season, these friends must up their game to defeat an old enemy, Sudden Death, when he returns with three alien outlaws, the Anticorians to destroy the NFL and world. With the help of the Rusherz and real NFL players and coaches, the Guardians will once again be called upon to protect the power of the 32 teams' Megacores, the essence of each team, its fans and its community.

During the season premiere, "The Return of Sudden Death," the Guardians are still reeling from the loss of Ish's powers and look to Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden and San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews for help when an old enemy returns, hungry for revenge. Players and coaches highlighted in future episodes include: Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. All 32 NFL teams will be showcased during the series, which continues to feature NFL Films game footage and music. Full-length episodes will be available on the Nick App, iTunes, VUDU and Amazon Instant Video the day after premieres. The series will be available on Nickelodeon VOD and NFL Network VOD beginning December 4 and on Nicktoons.com and NFLRUSH.com starting Dec. 18. Episodes also re-air on NFL Network and are produced in high definition for availability on video boards in NFL stadiums across the country.

NFL RUSH ZONE is produced by Rollman Entertainment, Inc. The team is led by veteran kids TV producer and Rollman Entertainment CEO Eric S. Rollman, who previously served as president of Marvel Animation; Saban Productions and Fox Family Productions working on thousands of animated and live action kids TV series, including The Avengers: World's Greatest Heroes, Super Hero Squad, Iron Man Armored Adventure and Power Rangers.

In 2010, Nickelodeon and the NFL teamed up to create NFL RUSH ZONE: Guardians of the Core, a 22-chapter micro-series that followed 10-year-old kid hero Ish on his destiny to protect shards of a power source that were fortified in NFL stadiums across the country. The second installment of the series, NFL RUSH ZONE: Season of the Guardians, premiered as full-length episodes on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 on Nicktoons and NFL Network.

The NFL RUSH ZONE, a role playing game on NFLRUSH.com, was launched in December 2007 and today has more than three million registered users. The NFL RUSH ZONE is an immersive virtual world where kids are able to create avatars, join their favorite team, play games, chat and compete with friends in a safe and fun environment. All 32 teams are represented within the NFL RUSH ZONE with distinct team lands and team Rusherz and Avatars. NFL RUSH ZONE is accessible on mobile devices and features exclusive content associated with the animated TV series, including achievements and games linked to the show. Users will become NFL RUSH ZONE Guardians, immersing themselves in the world as they "Enter the RUSH ZONE" with Ish and his fellow Guardians.
