Is the Ark of the Covenant in America?
H2's #1 HIT ORIGINAL SERIES
"AMERICA UNEARTHED"
RETURNS FOR AN ALL NEW SEASON
SEASON 2 PREMIERES SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30TH AT 9PM ET
New York, NY - November 22, 2013 - H2's #1 original hit series AMERICA UNEARTHED comes back with host and Forensic Geologist Scott Wolter continuing his search for the truth by investigating mysterious sites, relics and artifacts tied to a hidden history of the United States. Season 2 premieres Saturday, November 30th at 9PM ET with Wolter investigating clues and legends that the Ark of the Covenant is right here in America.
In AMERICA UNEARTHED, forensic geologist Scott Wolter, a real-life Indiana Jones, reveals that the history we all learned in school may not always be the whole story. Across the country, ancient symbols, religious relics and unexplained artifacts suggest that civilizations from around the world have left their mark for us to find today. Wolter not only digs through the surprising burial ground that is America for archaeological secrets, but he also turns a lot of what we think we know about American history on its head.
In the season premiere, Wolter is hot on the trail of what is arguably history's most sought after object - the Ark of the Covenant. Could it be right here in America? On an epic quest for this holy relic said to contain the Ten Commandments, Wolter finds himself tracking the Ark's alleged path from Ireland all the way to Arizona where a remarkable clue appears to be etched in stone.
In an exciting new adventure in storytelling, many of Season 2's episodes incorporate viewers who sent in thousands of submissions to the AMERICA UNEARTHED website - people who have come upon mysteries of their own - and Wolter doesn't stop until he delivers them some answers. From treasure in Arizona's Grand Canyon, to a legendary race of little people in the Hawaiian Islands, to pyramids rumored to be at the bottom of a Wisconsin lake, to a secret society's involvement in President Lincoln's assassination, this season's stories cover a broad range of topics and promise to be action packed. Viewers can expect new secrets and new conspiracies to be revealed in places like Washington D.C., Texas, Florida, Wisconsin and Colorado, just to name a few. One thing's for sure - it's more obvious than ever that history is not what we've been told.
AMERICA UNEARTHED premiered in December 2012 and has averaged 824,000 total viewers and 408,000 Adults 25-54, making it the #1 series of all time on H2. The January 25 episode of AMERICA UNEARTHED pulled in 1 million total viewers and 547,000 Adults 25-54, becoming the #1 telecast of all time on the network. H2 is the fastest
AMERICA UNEARTHED is produced for H2 by Committee Films with Maria Awes and Andy Awes serving as executive producers. Paul Cabana and Brian Meere are executive producers for H2.
