RYAN TEDDER JOINS "THE VOICE" AS IN-HOUSE PRODUCER AND SONGWRITER

OneRepublic Founder to Work With Final Three Artists and Write and Produce Original Song for Dec. 17 Season Finale

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Nov. 26, 2013 - Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic has been tapped by NBC's Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" as the show's first-ever in-house producer and songwriter.

Tedder, who was also an adviser this season, will work alongside the final three artists as they prepare for their respective performances for the finale. He will write an original song - stylized for each artist- that will be performed at the conclusion of the season on Tuesday, Dec. 17. The single will be available on iTunes immediately following the telecast.

The announcement was made by Paul Telegdy, President of Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment.

"Ryan is a brilliant songwriter and on the forefront of today's music scene. His contributions to 'The Voice' will be invaluable in both his work with our artists and in creating a song that will capture the essence of our show," said Telegdy.

Tedder is the founder and lead singer/songwriter of OneRepublic and producer of artists such as Adele, Beyonce, Leona Lewis, Maroon 5 and Carrie Underwood. He has sold over 130 million records worldwide and has held over 75 #1 chart positions across the globe. The six-time Grammy nominee took home his first Grammy for Album of the Year award at the 2012 Grammy Awards for his work on Adele's "21."

OneRepublic took the world by storm in 2007 with their debut release "Dreaming Out Loud." The album included the smash single "Apologize," which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide. The band's sophomore album, 2009's "Waking Up," produced three singles: "All the Right Moves," "Secrets," and "Good Life." OneRepublic released their third studio album, "Native," on March 26 where it debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The set includes hits "If I Lose Myself," "Feel Again" and new single "Counting Stars," which just broke into the top 10 at Top 40 radio this week.

The band has toured the world, headlining dates in the U.S. and Europe and opening for Bon Jovi and U2.

"The Voice" has led NBC to frequent Monday and Tuesday wins among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 so far this season, with NBC ranking #1 or tied for #1 for eight of nine weeks on both Monday and Tuesday nights among those networks season to date. In "most current" season averages through Nov. 17, the Monday edition of "The Voice" has averaged a 5.1 rating, 14 share in adults 18-49 and 15.2 million viewers overall, tying it as the #3 primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and making it the #1 unscripted series.

"The Voice" is a presentation of Mark Burnett's One Three Inc., Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series was created by John de Mol, who executive produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.
