Investigation Discovery's New Series "Obsession: Dark Desires" Reveals What Happens When All-Consuming Desire Has Deadly Consequences

OBSESSION: DARK DESIRES provides a chilling look into the mechanics of an obsessive mind and the devastating impact of delusional fantasy. When boundaries are crossed, the lives of victim and stalker become tragically interlaced as dangerous compulsions replace rationality and leave the victim with nowhere to hide. With their safety and sanity at risk, victims fight to protect themselves and their families from an irrepressible torment. The 10-episode first season of OBSESSION: DARK DESIRES premieres Tuesday, January 14 at 10/9c only on Investigation Discovery.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 6 million people are stalked every year in the United States. What's more, the majority of victims are stalked by someone they already know. As part of its Inspire a Difference public affairs initiative, Investigation Discovery has created a national PSA that will air during National Stalking Awareness Month in January in conjunction with OBSESSION: DARK DESIRES and the new season of STALKED: SOMEONE'S WATCHING. Launched in April 2013, Inspire a Difference weaves together ID's ongoing national awareness efforts around civil rights, wrongful convictions, and violence against women under one informative and inspiring banner designed to empower viewers to make an impact in their own communities.

Paging Sarah premieres Tuesday, January 14 at 10/9c When 19-year-old mother of three Sarah Pisan moves to Las Vegas to start a new life, a manager's position at a local gas station seems like her ideal job. Despite the rough clientele, Sarah makes great new friends until one morning her colleague Cheri does not show up for work. Simultaneously, Sarah starts to receive abusive beeper calls from an anonymous tormentor. A few weeks later, Cheri's body is discovered raped and murdered in Hell Hole Canyon. Ultimately, Sarah finds that she herself is the subject of a stalker's deadly obsession and must take steps to protect herself and her children before it is too late. Hiding in Plain Sight premieres Tuesday, January 21 at 10/9c Kristy seems to have it all: a nice apartment, a devoted boyfriend, and a loving family. A baby on the way completes the picture of a happy and settled future for the 24-year-old nurse. To prepare for motherhood, Kristy decides to sell her beloved sports car but, during the process, inadvertently attracts the unwanted attention of a mysterious person who will stop at nothing to terrorize her. Over the course of her pregnancy, Kristy begins to fear for her life and that of her unborn child as her stalker gets closer and closer to her and those who she loves.

Help Wanted premieres Tuesday, January 28 at 10/9c With the busy Christmas season approaching, Mary McIntyre advertises for a vacancy at the family business she runs with her recently widowed mother. She hires Jociel Bulawin, a man in his early thirties with a gleaming resume. In the first few weeks, Mary dismisses Jociel's strange behavior, not realizing that he is developing a powerful obsession with her. After one inappropriate comment too many, Mary lets Jociel go in the hope that it is the last she will hear from him. But Jociel has other ideas. What follows is an 18-month campaign of unwanted calls, gifts, and advances, ending in the ultimate showdown. (Location: Concord, CA // Year: 1996)
