BRADDOCK & JACKSON (FX/Lionsgate; W: Bob Boyett & Robert Horn; D: TBA) - Rory O'Malley ("The Book of Mormon") is the latest to be cast in the upcoming comedy, about two Chicago lawyers - Pete Braddock (Kelsey Grammer) and Phillip Jackson (Martin Lawrence) - from vastly different backgrounds who unexpectedly meet in court on the worst day of their lives. Brought together by fate and greed, they develop a partnership and friendship, forcing each other to find the balance between the ethical and the unscrupulous in both their professional and personal lives. THE MCCARTHYS (CBS/Sony; W: Brian Gallivan; D: TBA) - Jimmy Dunn has been cast in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about a sports-crazed Irish-Catholic family that shares a three decker house in Boston and the one member, Ronny, that dares to move out on his own. He'll play "the dim and a little chubby Sean McCarthy, who lives in an attic room off of his brother Gerard's third-floor apartment." The actor originated the role in project's single-camera incarnation last season. Jack McGee, Joey McIntyre and Laurie Metcalf also star. (Deadline.com)

SONGBYRD (E!/UCP; W: Krista Vernoff; D: Andrew McCarthy) - Wes Brown ("Deception") has scored a role on the Bethany Joy Lenz-led drama pilot, about a young, prolific songwriter of some of the best love songs struggles to find love in her personal life after her inspiration is revealed to be a lie. He's set as Justin, her "sexy, soulful, love interest." Also starring are Robert Hoffman and Rumer Willis. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED MATT HUBBARD PROJECT (FOX/Universal; W: Matt Hubbard; D: Pamela Fryman) - Jack Cutmore-Scott has been cast in the multi-camera comedy pilot, which is set at a women's college that begins accepting men for the first time in its history.
