COMEDY CENTRAL(R) GREENLIGHTS ANIMATED "MOONBEAM CITY" TO SERIES

Created and Executive Produced by Scott Gairdner, Executive Produced by Olive Bridge Entertainment's Will Gluck and Richard Schwartz and Produced by Rob Lowe

"Moonbeam City" Voice Cast Includes Rob Lowe, Elizabeth Banks, Will Forte and Kate Mara

PASADENA, January 10, 2013 - Prepare to be dazzled! Comedy Central has greenlit the weekly animated series "Moonbeam City," it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Content Development and Original Programming, Comedy Central. Created and executive produced by Scott Gairdner ("Conan," Funny Or Die), executive produced by Olive Bridge Entertainment's Will Gluck and Richard Schwartz and produced by Rob Lowe, the 10-episode series is set to premiere in 2015 and features an all-star lineup of voice talent led by Lowe, Elizabeth Banks, Will Forte and Kate Mara.

"I was hoping for 10,000 episodes, but 10 is a good start," said Gairdner.

"Had Scott just asked, we would have given him a 10,000 episode order. Oh well, lesson learned for him," added Alterman.

"Moonbeam City" is an absurdist take on the gritty, sex-drenched crime dramas from the 1980s. The series follows undercover detective "Dazzle Novak" (voiced by Lowe), a handsome idiot who commits more crimes than most criminals. His tyrannical chief, "Pizzaz Miller" (Banks), won't get off his back, and hotshot rookie "Rad Cunningham" (Forte) is dying to see him fail. With the world against him, "Dazzle" is thrust into a living nightmare: having to do actual police work.

Mark Brooks serves as Supervising Director, with animation by Titmouse. Ian Friedman is the Executive in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
