All-new season of SAY YES TO THE DRESS: RANDY KNOWS BEST premieres Friday, March 21
New York, NY - On Friday, February 21 at 9/8c, TLC premieres back-to-back episodes of the original SAY YES TO THE DRESS. In the season 11 opener, comedian and new host of Late Night, Seth Meyers, surprises a delighted fan. Shealynn - a medic in the Army who was injured in a roadside bomb explosion in Afghanistan, is trying to get a fresh start on her new life as she rehabs her injuries. While this special bride-to-be is in the process of finding her dream dress, she has no idea that things are about to get even better when the new Late Night host surprises her at the end of the appointment, just in time to help her say 'yes to the dress'!
In the 11th season of the long-running hit series, brides continue to visit the salon with their colorful backstories. One bride, fresh off of her Italian elopement, decides she is after an ultra-sexy gown. But since her family missed out on her ceremony, the bride's mother has a critical eye on all the dresses she's chosen. After losing 100 pounds, another bride wants to show off her new curves. But as she brings her fiancé along, she soon finds out that they don't share the same taste in dresses.
In another appointment, WNBA star Kia Vaughn (armed with her favorite pair of high heels) wants to reach seven-feet on her wedding day. Already standing tall at 6-foot-4, Kia calls on Randy's help when she realizes that finding a dress for her tall frame may not be as easy as it seems. Country star Whitney Duncan (who was also on "Survivor" where she met her husband) also pays Kleinfeld a visit, in search of a dress that commands the center stage. Often found walking the red carpet in a variety of gowns, this time Whitney is after a romantic lace gown for her big day.
A couple of brides also travel a long way for their dresses this season, with one traveling 4,000 miles from Alaska, and another who visits NYC after exhausting the boutiques of Europe. And who says brides should wear white? Season 11 features more unconventional brides than ever, with one bride-to-be in search of a pink gown, while another is left wondering if she'll ever find her dream dress in blue.
On Friday, March 21, TLC also brings back new episodes of SAY YES TO THE DRESS: RANDY KNOWS BEST, where bridal guru Randy Fenoli continues to shell out his top-notch advice and helps us revisit some of our favorite SAY YES TO THE DRESS brides with specially themed episodes.
Shot inside the world's premier bridal salon, Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC, SAY YES TO THE DRESS goes behind-the-scenes and uncovers the hurdles every staff member faces to make each bride completely satisfied on what may be the single most important day of her life.
SAY YES TO THE DRESS is produced by Half Yard Productions for TLC.
