ASHECLIFFE (HBO, New!) - Martin Scorsese is looking to bring his 2010 film "Shutter Island" to the small screen, focusing on Ashecliffe, "the isolated mental hospital where the movie took place, and the secrets and misdeeds perpetrated by its founders who erected the hospital in the early 20th Century." Dennis Lehane, author of the novel, will pen the script of the Paramount Television-based hour with Scorsese himself also attached to direct. They'll likewise executive produce alongside Rick Yorn, Chris Donnelly, Brad Fischer, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Killoran Davisson, Laeta Kalogridis, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Mike Medavoy and Arnie Messer for Phoenix Pictures, Sikelia Productions and Appian Way. CURE, THE (FOX, New!) - Best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell and "Medium" creator Glenn Gordon Caron have scored a put pilot commitment from the network for a "character-driven medical thriller about a young, impulsive African-American neurologist who takes the law into her own hands in the cause of tackling a deadly disease." 20th Century Fox Television-based Imagine Television is behind the hour with the company's Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo also serving as executive producers. MIX (ABC, New!) - Jennifer Cecil ("Hostages") has sold a new drama to the Alphabet about "the realities of modern-day families - multi-cultural and multi-generational, built through divorces, affairs and adoptions - set against the backdrop of a revered family restaurant at a crossroads." Warner Bros. Television-based Le Train Train Productions is behind the hour with the company's Rashida Jones and Will McCormack also serving as executive producers and Jeff Grosvenor as a co-executive producer. RABBIT HOLE (IFC, New!) - Jamie Denbo and Kerri Kenney-Silver have booked a potential comedy at the cable channel "set in Nevada's second most famous brothel," with Kenney-Silver set to play Dame Delilah. Said effort is set up at Universal Cable Productions and Borderline Amazing Productions with the latter's Chelsea Handler, Tom Brunelle and Brad Wollack also among the executive producers.
