HBO Receives 19 Primetime Emmy(R) Awards, The Most of Any Network This Year; "True Detective" Leads HBO Programming with 5 Emmys(R)

HBO RECEIVES 19 PRIMETIME EMMY(R) AWARDS, THE MOST OF ANY NETWORK THIS YEAR; "TRUE DETECTIVE" LEADS HBO PROGRAMMING WITH 5 EMMYS(R)

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26, 2014 - HBO received 19 Primetime Emmy(R) Awards, the most of any network for the 13th year in a row, in the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy(R) Awards competition. "True Detective" led HBO programming with 5 Emmys(R).

HBO's Emmy(R) wins this year include:

* 5 Emmys(R) for "True Detective," including Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Cary Joji Fukunaga); Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series; Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series; Outstanding Main Title Design; and Outstanding Makeup for a Single-Camera Series (Non-Prosthetic).

* 4 Emmys(R) for "Game of Thrones," including Outstanding Art Direction for a Contemporary or Fantasy Series (Single-Camera); Outstanding Costumes for a Series; Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or a Special; and Outstanding Special and Visual Effects.

* 2 Emmys(R) for "The Normal Heart," including Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Makeup for a Miniseries or a Movie (Non-Prosthetic).

* 1 Emmy(R) for "Boardwalk Empire": Outstanding Art Direction for a Period Series, Miniseries or a Movie (Single-Camera).

* 1 Emmy(R) for "Life According to Sam": Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking.

* 1 Emmy(R) for "One Last Hug: Three Days at Grief Camp": Outstanding Children's Program.

* 1 Emmy(R) for "Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles": Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special (Sarah Silverman).
