FYI RENEWS HIT SERIES "TINY HOUSE NATION" FOR A SECOND SEASON AND GREENLIGHTS NEW SERIES "TINY HOUSE HUNTING"

NEW YORK, NY - SEPTEMBER 3, 2014 - FYI has picked up a second season of the hit original series 'Tiny House Nation' and greenlit the new series 'Tiny House Hunting,' it was announced today by Gena McCarthy, Senior Vice President, Programming and Development, FYI. Both docuseries celebrate the exploding trend of extreme downsizing and features the owners and wannabe-owners of super small spaces around the country.

Season one of "Tiny House Nation" brought the FYI time period average up 37% in total viewers and 48% among adults 25-54, compared to BIO Channel's year to date average prior to the network re-branding.

"The tiny house movement is taking off across the country and we're proud to be the first network to capture it," said McCarthy. "FYI opened viewers' eyes to the cultural phenomenon of dramatically downsizing with 'Tiny House Nation and we'll delve deeper into that process with 'Tiny House Hunting.'"

"Tiny House Nation" follows host John Weisbarth and renovation expert Zack Giffin as they travel across America to show off ingenious small spaces and the inventive people who live in them. Along the way, they help families design and construct their own mini dream homes, no larger than 500 square feet. From micro-apartments in New York City, to free-standing homes in the wilderness, no space is identical to another but all space is valuable. Beds fold down out of walls; tables become bookshelves; and furniture doubles as storage, proving that it's not size that matters in these spaces, but creativity that counts.

Season two of "Tiny House Nation" will begin production immediately on 13 hour-long episodes slated to premiere this winter.

"Tiny House Hunting" follows realtors as they help a pair of tiny home seekers find the perfect existing mini home for their family. Whether it's a potential full-time home in the Rockies or a tiny beach getaway on the coast of Florida, each potential homeowner will be shown three different tiny abodes and then decide which is the best for them. These families are on the hunt for something new while bringing fresh perspective to 'scaling back.'

Production for "Tiny House Hunting" begins immediately on 13 half-hour episodes slated to premiere this winter.

"Tiny House Nation" is produced for FYI by Loud TV. Executive producers for FYI are Gena McCarthy, Toby Faulkner and James Bolosh. Executive producers for Loud TV are Brent Montgomery, Nick Rigg and Shawn Witt.
