SEASON 12 OF TLC'S "SAY YES TO THE DRESS" HEADS BACK TO NY THIS FALL FOR MORE SURPRISES AND CELEBRITY GUESTS

New season premieres on Friday, October 10 at 9/8c

New York, NY - On Friday, October 10 at 9/8c, TLC premieres an all new star-studded season of SAY YES TO THE DRESS. Now in its 12th season, TLC's longest running primetime series will premiere with a first-ever hour-long episode and features personal trainer and television personality Jillian Michaels. Jillian pops in to surprise mentee and former Biggest Loser contestant Tumi Oguntala, who after losing 175 pounds, is ready to get a fresh start on her new life as she prepares to walk down the aisle. While this special bride-to-be is in the process of finding her dream dress, she has no idea that things are about to get even better when her Biggest Loser mentor has multiple surprises in store for her during the bridal appointment. In another first for the series, the season premiere takes viewers outside of Kleinfeld and captures a moving proposal. Being that Megan is a huge fan of the show, her boyfriend decides to plan a romantic proposal in NYC, while Nicole and Christiane ambush her with cameras, and whisk her away to Kleinfeld for a once in a lifetime shopping experience. Once Megan arrives, she is shocked once again as she is met by her friend, aunt, and sister.

Throughout the new season, brides continue to visit the salon from all over the country with their entourages and emotional backstories. One New Orleans bride travels to Kleinfeld in search of a sexy mermaid cut gown, but since her mother is paying for the dress, she believes that she should have a strong vote in the final decision.

In another appointment, Erin Brady wants to find the perfect gown that screams bridal and not pageant queen. As the reigning Miss USA, Erin has tried on her fair share of over-the-top gowns, but this time around she's after a classic romantic dress that will satisfy her friends and family, namely her hard to please mother-in-law. Erin enlists the help of bridal guru Randy Fenoli when she realizes that pleasing her entourage is not as simple as she originally thought. Meghan King, the fiancée of MLB superstar turned Fox Sports pundit Jim Edmonds, also turns to the experts at Kleinfeld for her dream dress. Meghan is supermodel stunning, but she is having trouble finding the perfect gown for her tall and slim figure. While she is after a gown that will flatter her slim figure, she also needs to find the perfect style for her Bora Bora elopement.

A number of brides this season are also preparing for their destination nuptials, with one bride searching for a gown that will suit her barefoot Turks and Caicos wedding fantasy, and another who is on the hunt for a gown that will transform her Parisian wedding.

From superstar athletes and television hosts, to Broadway actresses and real life heroes, season 12 features a robust lineup of guest appearances including:

--Good Morning America's Ginger Zee

--Actress and Broadway star Sutton Foster

--Rebekah Gregory, Boston bombing survivor

--NFL stars Julius Jones and Thomas Jones shop with their bride-to-be sister

--Laurel Harris, lead Broadway actress in Wicked

--QVC presenter/host Courtney Casen

--NFL player Ricardo Silva and fiancée Whytnee

Shot inside the world's premier bridal salon, Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC, SAY YES TO THE DRESS goes behind-the-scenes and uncovers the hurdles every staff member faces to make each bride completely satisfied on what may be the single most important day of her life.

SAY YES TO THE DRESS is produced by Half Yard Productions for TLC.
