NEW YORK - September 18, 2014 - Oxygen Media delves into the tragic murder of world-renowned music artist Selena Quntanilla-Perez with a special episode of "Snapped" titled, "Selena: Death of a Superstar" on Sunday, October 5 at 9 PM ET/PT. The beloved Latina sensation was murdered at the young age of 23 years old when Selena was shot in the back on March 31, 1995 by her number one fan, Yolanda Saldivar. Saldivar was Selena's personal assistant, fan club president, and treasured confidante. Almost twenty years later, the network's red hot crime series takes an in-depth look at the shocking case against Saldivar and uncovers what ultimately drove her to take the life of her best friend. With riveting personal accounts and never-before-seen interviews from experts and first responders, viewers will get an inside look at the murder that ended the chart-topper's life and the trial that rocked the music industry, ending in a life-sentence for Saldivar.

Immediately following, catch an all new episode of "Snapped: Killer Couples" at 10PM ET/PT. "Snapped: Killer Couples" features couples whose passion drives them to commit terrible criminal acts. Through reenactments and gripping firsthand accounts, each episode takes a deep dive into the stories behind the couples' romance, how their relationship evolved once love turned to manipulation, and what ultimately drove them to commit the crime.
