A&E NETWORK FORMS NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BROADCAST FILM CRITICS ASSOCIATION AND THE BROADCAST TELEVISION JOURNALISTS ASSOCIATION TO TELEVISE "THE CRITICS' CHOICE MOVIE AWARDS" AND "THE CRITICS' CHOICE TELEVISION AWARDS"

'20th ANNUAL CRITICS' CHOICE MOVIE AWARDS' TO AIR JAN. 15 ON A&E

New York, NY - October 07, 2014 - A&E Network has partnered with the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) to become the exclusive home to the 2015 and 2016 "The Critics' Choice Movie Awards" and "The Critics' Choice Television Awards." The announcement was made today by David McKillop, Executive Vice President and General Manager, A&E Network and Joey Berlin, BFCA/BTJA President.

"The 20th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards" is slated to air on A&E live from the Hollywood Palladium on January 15, 2015, officially kicking off the film award season. Hosts for the "The Critics' Choice Movie Awards" and "The Critics' Choice Television Awards" will be announced at a later date.

"Our new partnership will help establish 'The Critics' Choice Awards' as one of the most coveted awards by celebrating the best talent achievements in the entertainment industry with two of the most respected institutions in Hollywood," said McKillop. "These bi-annual live tent-pole events will be key highlights of the movie and television awards seasons for A&E viewers."

"The BFCA and BTJA are thrilled to be joining forces with A&E, which we believe will be the perfect home for our star-studded awards galas," said Berlin. "Over the past two decades our Critics' Choice Awards shows have assumed a vital role in Hollywood. While the Oscars and Emmys are voted on by people who make movies and television shows for a living, the Critics' Choice Awards are selected by the people who watch movies and television shows for a living. They matter - and the night we give them out is a pretty wild party."

"The Critics' Choice Awards" are bestowed annually by the BFCA and BTJA to honor the finest in cinematic and television achievement. The BFCA is the largest film critics' organization in the United States and Canada, representing almost 300 television, radio and online critics. BFCA members are the primary source of information for today's film-going public. BTJA is the collective voice of almost 100 journalists who regularly cover television for TV viewers, radio listeners and online audiences. Historically, the "Critics' Choice Movie Awards" are the most accurate predictor of the Academy Award nominations.

The 20th annual "The Critics' Choice Movie Awards" will be produced by Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment.

A+E Networks will handle international sales for "The Critics' Movie Choice Awards" and "The Critics' Choice Television Awards."

BFCA/BTJA were represented by WME and Dan Black of Greenberg Traurig on this deal.
