LMN PRESENTS NEW ORIGINAL DOCUMENTARY "FOOTSTEPS IN THE SNOW" PREMIERING WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12 AT 8PM ET

Dramatic account of the coldest case in American history with exclusive interviews from key witnesses and convicted killer, Jack McCullough

NEW YORK, NY - October 23, 2014 - LMN will premiere the new original documentary "Footsteps in the Snow" on Wednesday, November 12 at 8pm ET. Weaving together the gripping tale dating back to 1957, the two-hour special recounts the chilling story of the coldest case in American history ever to be solved - the murder of Maria Ridulph. Convicted killer, Jack McCullough, gives an exclusive interview from prison.

"Footsteps in the Snow" is the saga of two families - the victim Maria Ridulph's family and that of the killer, Jack McCullough. When 7-year-old Maria was abducted and killed in 1957, investigators considered Jack a suspect, but he passed a lie detector test and had an alibi for the day of the crime. After decades of lost leads and dead ends, Maria's family had given up hope of ever finding her killer. Decades later, though, the first break in the case came through a deathbed confession when Jack's mother admitted her son was responsible. One of Jack's sisters who had witnessed the startling confession vowed to pursue justice for Maria regardless of what dark family secrets were revealed.

In 2012, fifty-five years after Maria vanished, her family finally got the answer they were looking for when a judge pronounced Jack guilty of the kidnapping and murder and sentenced him to life in prison. It was one of the oldest unsolved crimes in the U.S. to make it to trial.

In partnership with the Random House release of the book of the same title, written by Charles Lachman, "Footsteps in the Snow" has exclusive access and compelling interviews with family members and investigators; including shocking footage from the second and last interview Jack has ever given from inside prison walls.

"Footsteps in the Snow" is produced for LMN by Nancy Glass Productions. Nancy Glass, Matthew Watts and Charles Lachman are executive producers. Laura Fleury and Peter Tarshis are executive producers for LMN.
