SHOWTIME(R) TO AIR "PENNY DREADFUL" DOUBLE-HEADER ON HALLOWEEN

First Two Episodes Also Available For Sampling Today Across Multiple Platforms

NEW YORK - October 27, 2014 - As a special Halloween treat, SHOWTIME will re-air the first two episodes of the freshman season of the critically-acclaimed hit drama series PENNY DREADFUL on Friday, October 31 starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Fans will reacquaint themselves with some of literature's most famous characters, including Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray and iconic figures from the novel Dracula, all brilliantly reimagined in a whole new light, embroiled in Victorian London. Additionally, starting today, viewers can sample these two episodes for free on YouTube (http://s.sho.com/PD1 and http://s.sho.com/PD2), SHO.com, and via a number of television providers' free On Demand channels and websites. The PENNY DREADFUL episodes will also be available in the "Free Full Episodes" section of SHOWTIME ANYTIME(R), on any computer, iPhone(R), iPad(R), Android(TM) phones and tablets, Kindle Fire(TM), Fire Phone, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Xbox 360(R) and Apple TV streaming players anywhere in the U.S., on the SHOWTIME Preview app on Smart TVs from Samsung, LG and Panasonic, as well as for download as a free video podcast on iTunes. Also beginning this Wednesday leading up to Halloween night, select fans who tweet using the hashtag #DreadfulHalloween could win a PENNY DREADFUL DVD set of the entire first season.

PENNY DREADFUL stars Josh Hartnett (Black Hawk Down), Timothy Dalton (The Living Daylights, Licence to Kill), and Eva Green (Casino Royale). Reeve Carney (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark), Rory Kinnear (Skyfall), Billie Piper (Doctor Who, Secret Diary of a Call Girl), Danny Sapani (The Bill) and Harry Treadaway (The Lone Ranger) also co-star.
