INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY'S "FATAL VOWS" RETURNS FOR SALACIOUS THIRD SEASON

(Silver Spring, MD) - One of Investigation Discovery's (ID) guiltiest pleasures, FATAL VOWS, is back for a third season with even more tantalizing tales of love turned lethal. From blushing brides turned cold-blooded killers, to smitten grooms with shocking dark sides, FATAL VOWS returns to examine the criminal psychology behind these deadly divorces. Stacy Kaiser, a licensed psychotherapist and relationship expert, and Dr. Brian Russell, an attorney as well as a forensic and clinical psychologist, guide viewers through these crimes of passion, examining each couple to better understand how the marriage turned from flawed to fatal. Premiering Saturday, November 8 at 9/8c on Investigation Discovery, season three features all-new stories of love gone wrong, including a professional football player with a violent temper, a greedy, young wife looking for a pay-out, and a husband whose violent criminal past haunts an entire family.

Each hour-long episode of FATAL VOWS features interviews with family, friends, law enforcement and potential victims of the crime, while Kaiser and Dr. Russell provide analysis on these marriages that break down to the point that divorce and murder collide.

In the premiere episode, Arthur Burney and his wife Linda marry young, and at just 37 years old, he becomes a grandfather. The young grandfather believes it's true love when he ditches longtime wife and their two children to run off with Patricia Meeks, the waitress from his favorite bar. Soon Arthur and Patricia are married with a daughter of their own. Shock turns to resignation and eventually acceptance as the old and new families do their best to get along in their tiny community, until the night of Arthur and Patricia's 16th wedding anniversary, when tensions in this tangled web of love and lies are stretched to the limit... and someone finally snaps.
