VH1 ANNOUNCES NEW REALITY COMPETITION SERIES "TWINNING" (WORKING TITLE) THAT PUTS THE POWER OF TWIN-TUITION TO THE TEST

SANTA MONICA, CA (November 10, 2014) - Identical twins have a unique and undeniable bond, sharing things with each other that fascinate the rest of us. Some sleep in the same bed. Some sleep with the same people. They all claim special "twin powers" that range from the amusing, like finishing each other's sentences, to the astonishing, like actually feeling each other's physical pain. Now, for the first time ever, VH1 is doubling down on a reality competition series that will put this twin-tuition to the test. "Twinning" (working title) will premiere in Summer 2015 with ten hour-long episodes.

Created and produced by Lighthearted Entertainment ("Dating Naked"), "Twinning" (WT) is an arc'd competition series in which twelve sets of twins will go head to head for a grand prize of $222,222.22. But getting there won't be easy. Viewers can expect double the meltdowns, double the hook-ups, and, of course, double the twists as the contestants are pushed to their limits in unexpected ways.

"'Twinning' (WT) is a crazy concept and we are all the way in," said Susan Levison, EVP of Original Programming and Production for VH1. "This will be a competition series like no other and we love to pique our viewers' twinterest. Come one, come all for the noisiest house show in years."

As the strengths and weaknesses of each twin pair is revealed, relationships will be tested and resentments will be exposed. In the end, the pair of twins left standing will win the cash prize, and be crowned as the twinners.

Lighthearted Entertainment's Howard Schultz, Rob LaPlante and Jeff Spangler will serve as executive producers. Executive producing for VH1 are Susan Levison, Jill Holmes, Kristen Kelly, Fernando Mills and Tricia Biggio.
