FOX SPORTS 1 GOES "INSIDE THE BIG EAST" SUNDAY AFTERNOONS

Weekly Half-Hour Program Goes Behind the Scenes on BIG EAST Hoops during Conference Season on FOX Sports 1

New York - FOX Sports is the home to BIG EAST basketball with over 150 men's games airing across its networks this season, and starting this weekend, FOX Sports 1 adds to its extensive coverage of BIG EAST hoops presented by New York Life with INSIDE THE BIG EAST, a new weekly 30-minute show that provides unprecedented access to the conference and its programs.

INSIDE THE BIG EAST debuts Sunday, Jan. 4 (4:00 PM ET), coinciding with the start of conference play, and runs for 10 consecutive weeks, culminating on Sunday, March 8, prior to the BIG EAST Men's Basketball Tournament Presented by New York Life, which tips off Wednesday, March 11 at Madison Square Garden on FOX Sports 1. The show covers each of the conference's 10 programs every week and goes behind the scenes with special insider access and analysis.

Rob Stone, Kevin Burkhardt and Don Bell take turns hosting INSIDE THE BIG EAST from FOX Sports' Los Angeles studios and are joined by a rotating group of analysts, including Austin Croshere, Ben Howland, Donny Marshall and Kevin O'Neill with commentary from Bill Raftery.

INSIDE THE BIG EAST presents exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from practices and games, including locker room speeches, and checks in with coaches from around the conference. Each week, the show highlights a different BIG EAST program, beginning this Sunday with a poignant feature on Providence forward LaDontae Henton, whose brother - the one who taught him to play basketball and his best friend - is serving a life sentence. Also this week, BIG EAST players and coaches share their New Year's resolutions, St. John's head coach Steve Lavin joins by satellite, and a special look at the behind-the-scenes footage from Wednesday's FOX Sports 1 New Year's Eve marathon.

Each Sunday, the group names the best plays of the previous week and looks ahead to upcoming matchups, this weekend highlighting No. 6 Villanova at No. 15 St. John's on Tuesday, Jan. 6 (9:00 PM ET) on FOX Sports 1. Also on INSIDE THE BIG EAST, FOX Sports' roster of college basketball experts delve into the latest recruiting news, break down NCAA Tournament resumes, analyze the Player of the Year race and more.

FOX Sports' coverage of BIG EAST basketball presented by New York Life includes more than 150 men's games on the FOX broadcast network, FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2, FOX Sports Regional Networks and FOX College Sports.
