GSN'S EMMY(R)-NOMINATED "THE CHASE" RETURNS FOR SEASON 4 ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 27 AT 8:00 P.M. ET/PT

The Race To Beat "The Beast" Continues With Special Theme Episodes And Celebrity Guests

January 8, 2015 (Santa Monica, CA) - GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, announced today the premiere of the fourth season of its Emmy(R)-nominated hit quiz show, THE CHASE on Tuesday, January 27 at 8:00pm ET/PT. Brooke Burns returns as host, along with the brilliant and intimidating Mark Labbett (aka "The Beast") facing down all challengers in the ultimate trivia challenge.

The new season will also be marked by two new celebrity episodes and special theme shows, including the season premiere, which features three former contestants who return for a second shot at defeating The Beast. TV stars Carson Kressley ("How to Look Good Naked"), Cameron Mathison ("All My Children") and Tatyana Ali ("The Fresh Prince of Bel Air") will also take on The Beast in a special celebrity episode on Tuesday, February 3. The three celebrities will attempt to earn over $100,000 for their respective charities. An additional episode, featuring "Scandal" stars Joe Morton, Kate Burton and Brian Letscher will air later this season.

One of GSN's most popular original series, THE CHASE has attracted more than 23 million total viewers since its premiere in August 2013. Throughout its season three run, the series has posted impressive ratings growth among P18-49 (+42%), P25-54 (+47%), W25-54 (+33%), W18-49 (+38%), with total viewership up 44%, vs. GSN's year-to-date time period average.

Based on the highly successful UK format, THE CHASE is produced by ITV Studios America with Bob Boden, Michael Kelpie and Martin Scott serving as Executive Producers.

About THE CHASE:

In THE CHASE, a team of three contestants attempts to amass as much money as possible by answering quick-fire questions in a 60-second round. The money earned goes into a team bank, but their ability to keep the money can be thwarted by "The Beast," who is always lurking, ready to pounce. The Beast, at 6'7" and 370 lbs., with degrees from Oxford, Exeter and Glamorgan universities, is a quiz show genius and giant in every way. The job of this intimidating presence is to catch each contestant by answering more questions than his opponents, to ensure they are not able to keep their money. It's a role he executes with ruthless efficiency. In the final round, the teammates who have survived their initial "chase" collectively play against The Beast in an epic David vs Goliath battle for the entire amount they have banked.
