CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - The Peacock is moving forward with another spin-off of its Dick Wolf-produced "Chicago" franchise, this time billed as "Chicago Med." Wolf, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt and Matt Olmstead are all behind the project, which will again come from Universal Television-based Wolf Films. No other details were given other than it will be set up via backdoor pilot, a la "Chicago PD." (Deadline.com)


CRIMINAL MINDS (CBS) - Gary Sinise ("CSI: NY") has signed on to star in the franchise's latest spin-off, about FBI agents helping American citizens who find themselves in trouble abroad. He'll play their boss, Jack Garrett, "a 20-year veteran of the Bureau, who is currently in charge of the FBI's top team for handling cases involving Americans abroad." Erica Messer is behind the project, due to air as a backdoor plot airing later this season. (Deadline.com)


AND IN OTHER NEWS... - NBC has pushed the rollout for season three of "Hannibal" to the summer (EW.com); Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are shepherding a live production of "The Wiz" at NBC (Deadline.com); Julian Fellowes's long-gestating drama "The Gilded Age" remains alive at the Peacock (Deadline.com); Eva Longoria's UnveliEVAble Entertainment has inked a new three-year overall deal with Universal Television as part of NBC's straight-to-series order for "Telenovela" (Deadline.com); and Albert Tsai will appear in two episodes of ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat" as "a fellow Chinese student who bonds with Eddie - until Eddie comes to realize that being Chinese is the only thing the two have in common" (TVLine.com).
