AMERICA'S MOST EXTREME COUPLES THERAPY EVER

"SEX BOX" PREMIERES FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27 AT 10PM ET/PT

New York, January 2015 - WE tv introduces a groundbreaking new series, "Sex Box," to its Friday night line-up beginning Friday, February 27 at 10pm ET/PT. The series takes therapy to a whole new level with couples not only discussing their relationship issues with a panel of experts, but also spending time in a camera-free, soundproof box on the show's set to have sex... all in front of a live studio audience!

In each of the 11 hour-long episodes, couples speak candidly with a panel of "sexperts" for the chance to reignite their connection. Experts include: Dr. Fran Walfish, a leading Beverly Hills psychotherapist, Dr. Chris Donaghue, a licensed clinical nationally certified sex therapist (one of only 600 in the world) and Dr. Yvonne Capehart, pastor and couples' counselor. Experts are also joined by Danielle Stewart, who provides commentary and on-the-street interviews.

After receiving initial advice, the couples must decide if they are willing to step into the box to resolve their intimacy issues; but what happens in the box does not stay in the box. Post-coitus, a scientifically proven time when people are more trusting and open due to the body's natural release of oxytocin ("cuddle hormone"), the couples have a shockingly raw discussion with the experts about their experiences and relationships in an effort to solve their problems. Couples seeking help from the experts include: high school sweethearts whose passion has flamed out after 14 years of marriage and four kids; a couple whose trust issues from a previous relationship have a negative impact on their intimacy; an open relationship with one partner wanting to make their sex life even racier, including S&M; a married couple whose preoccupation with baby making has changed their sex life for the worse; and a couple who actually has too much sex.

Amazingly honest, provocative and yes, dare we say it, educational, "Sex Box," may just be the start of the next sexual revolution in the United States.

"Sex Box" is executive produced by Relativity Television's Tom Forman and Brad Bishop. The executive producers for WE tv are President and General Manager, Marc Juris, Executive Vice President Development and Original Programming, Lauren Gellert, and Kate Farrell. ClearStory executive producers are Molly Milton and Russell Barnes. Andrew Scher and Mike Maloy also serve as executive producers.
