EPIX TAKES A NEW SLATE OF COMEDY PROGRAMMING TO THE STAGE STARRING SOME OF TODAY'S WITTIEST AND MOST CUTTING-EDGE STAND-UP COMICS

Jim Norton, Jim Breuer and Lisa Lampanelli Star in The Comedy Lineup Beginning April 24

New York, NY, February 10, 2015 - Premium TV network EPIX announced today that stand-up's biggest and most off-the-wall comics Jim Norton, Jim Breuer and Lisa Lampanelli will star in three new hour-long Original Comedy Events. The laughter begins on April 24 with Jim Norton: Contextually Inadequate, followed by Jim Breuer: Comic Frenzy on May 29 and Lisa Lampanelli: Back to the Drawing Board on June 26. These specials will be available exclusively on EPIX and across all EPIX platforms including online, on demand and via the EPIX app.

Jim Norton: Contextually Inadequate - World Television Premiere: Friday, April 24, at 10pm ET/PT, 9C

Returning to the Somerville Theatre in Boston, MA, for his third consecutive EPIX special, Norton takes on the twisted state of the 21st century. With his customarily caustic point-of-view, Norton tackles everything from Bill Cosby to nude photos to the firing of his radio co-host Anthony Cumia. Jim Breuer: Comic Frenzy - World Television Premiere: Friday, May 29, at 10pm ET/PT, 9C

Filmed at The Paramount in Huntington, NY, Breuer's new special focuses on what his life (and all of our lives) truly consist of: dealing with the elderly, becoming our parents' caretakers, parenting teenagers, and what it takes to be a "marriage warrior." As an added bonus, Breuer also sheds some light on what it's like to perform on "heavy metal-themed" cruises. It's not nearly as glamorous as one might think. Lisa Lampanelli: Back to the Drawing Board - World Television Premiere: Friday, June 26, at 10pm ET/PT, 9C

In Lisa Lampanelli's fifth stand-up special, "Back to the Drawing Board," the world's edgiest insult comic is new, improved, and funnier than ever. Comedy's Lovable Queen of Mean not only has a radically different look after her 100-pound weight loss and funky haircut, she's newly divorced and has re-started her life as an over-50 single "girl." Lisa combines deeply personal bits about her recent life challenges with her trademark audience insults, and the result is a hilarious, insightful blend that is her most revealing, clever, and hysterical stand-up special yet! "We are excited to spotlight the work of Norton, Breuer and Lampanelli and their creative, take-no-prisoners, make-no-apologies approach to stand-up comedy," said Mark Greenberg, President and CEO, EPIX. "What distinguishes EPIX in this arena is that we celebrate stand-up by letting comics do what they do best, in their favorite environments, and present their work to our viewers uncut and uncensored."

EPIX is known for its all-star roster of stand-up specials. Previous featured headliners include: Russell Brand, Dennis Miller, Lewis Black, Jenny McCarthy, Patton Oswalt, Louis C. K., Jim Norton, Tom Papa, Jim Jefferies, Sherri Shepherd, Jim Breuer and Eddie Izzard. EPIX's commitment to the craft of comedy also includes the EPIX Original Documentary "The Improv: 50 Years Behind the Brick Wall," a revealing special that brings together the biggest names in comedy to tell the inside story of America's first comedy club.
