DYLAN NEAL AND BROOKE BURNS STARTED PRODUCTION IN VANCOUVER ON THE HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES ORIGINAL "GOURMET DETECTIVE: A HEALTHY PLACE TO DIE"

Neal also Executive Produces; Based on the Novels by Peter King

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries proudly announces the start of production in Vancouver on "Gourmet Detective: A Healthy Place To Die," a Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Original. Dylan Neal ("Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove," "Fifty Shades of Grey") stars with Brooke Burns ("Baywatch," "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year") in this second installment of the "Gourmet Detective" Mystery Movie Series franchise starring Neal as a gourmet chef-turned-sleuth whose mastery of all things edible helps him solve culinary crimes. "Gourmet Detective: A Healthy Place To Die" is executive produced by Neal and based on the series of books by Peter King.

"We're excited for our viewers to dig in to this delicious and suspense-filled original mystery movie pairing multitalented Dylan Neal with beloved Brooke Burns," said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. "The chemistry between these two sizzles as they work together to solve the crime and keep our audience on the edge of their seats."

Henry Ross (Neal) is a prominent chef and charming culinary expert, highly respected in San Francisco's food industry circles. Maggie Price (Burns) is a beautiful, no-nonsense police detective and single mom to a 13-year old daughter. After previously joining forces to solve a murder at a five-star restaurant, Henry and Maggie are once again reunited. This time, the action unfolds at a luxurious resort where Henry is a guest presenter at a gourmet food conference and Maggie is, reluctantly, taking a much-needed vacation. When a journalist staying at the resort disappears and is found murdered, Henry and Maggie team up to untangle a complicated web of mystery - involving the journalist, a movie star and high profile fixtures of the San Francisco restaurant scene - and solve the murder. A generous helping of suspense is served as Henry uses his vast culinary knowledge to help crack the case before the killer gets away.

"Gourmet Detective: A Healthy Place To Die" is a Muse Entertainment Enterprises Production. Joel Rice, Michael Prupas, Dylan Neal, Becky Southwell, Steve Valentine, and Scott Smith are the executive producers. Harvey Kahn is the producer. Scott Smith directs from a script by Dawn DeKeyser and Becky Southwell & Dylan Neal based on The Gourmet Detective series of books by Peter King.
