'EUREKA' & 'THE VAMPIRE DIARIES' STAR COLIN FERGUSON CAST TO JOIN ANDIE MACDOWELL AND DYLAN NEAL IN SEASON THREE OF HALLMARK CHANNEL'S HIGHLY-RATED PRIMETIME ORIGINAL SERIES, 'DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE'

Special Two-Hour Season Three Premiere Airs July 2015

Hallmark Channel announces Colin Ferguson ("Eureka," "The Vampire Diaries") has been cast in a recurring role in season three of Hallmark Channel's highly-rated Primetime Original Series, "Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove." The #1 primetime drama, starring Andie MacDowell and Dylan Neal, makes its anticipated return with a special two-hour season premiere July 2015. Ferguson is slated to play Cedar Cove's charming new District Attorney Paul Watson, who wastes no time getting to know Judge Olivia Lockhart while stirring up some drama in and out of her courtroom.

"Colin Ferguson is an exceptional new addition to our extraordinary 'Cedar Cove' family, with his proven talent in series television and his electric, playful onscreen charisma," said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President of Programming and Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. "Colin's character will surprise and delight viewers by adding an unexpected, but very fun, new dynamic to the emotional relationships and riveting storylines in Cedar Cove."

Canadian actor, director and producer Colin Ferguson is best known for his starring turn as Sheriff Jack Carter on Syfy's "Eureka." Born and raised in Montreal, Ferguson has appeared in over three dozen television series and films, including the American remake of the British hit sitcom "Coupling," Universal Pictures' 2007 film "Because I Said So" opposite Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore, Syfy's "Haven," TNT's "Major Crimes" and most recently, CW's "The Vampire Diaries."

"Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove," based on the bestselling book series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber, takes viewers to a majestic and idyllic small seaside town of Cedar Cove, home to romance, relationships and drama. At the center of it all is Olivia Lockhart (MacDowell), the revered Cedar Cove Municipal Court judge, lifetime resident, loving mother and loyal friend to many. As Olivia's romance with newspaper editor Jack (Neal) hangs in the balance following a shocking discovery, Olivia, along with her family and friends, will find her small town is bursting with more drama - and heart - than ever before.

"Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove" season three will be produced by Unity Pictures and distributed by Dan Wigutow Productions. Executive producers are Dan Wigutow, Sue Tenney, Ron French and Stephen Harmaty. Tenney is the show runner. "Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove" is based on the popular book series Cedar Cove by New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber.
