PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS, THE (Syfy, New!) - Horror filmmaker Wes Craven is developing a pair of projects for the cable channel via a new first-look deal with Universal Cable Productions. First up is a small screen take on his 1991 feature about "a young woman goes missing at the grand Robeson Family Manor and her search unveils the centuries-old horrors that lie deep within the estate." Michael Reisz is penning the script and will executive produce alongside Craven, Alive Productions' Shep Gordon and Industry Entertainment's Tracey Murray and Sara Bottfeld. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED O'SHANNON & WARREN PROJECT (CBS/CBSP; W: Dan O'Shannon & Peter Warren; D: Pamela Fryman) - Janina Gavankar ("The Mysteries of Laura") have joined the cast of the comedy pilot, about a group of friends and family at three different times in their lives. She'll play Sabrina, succeeding Noureen DeWulf, who was cast last week but departed over creative differences. Adam Brody, Jacob Hopkins, Kelly O'Sullivan, Tracy Spiridakos and Tyler Labine also star. (Deadline.com)
WE ARE ALL COMPLETELY FINE (Syfy, New!) - Horror filmmaker Wes Craven is developing a pair of projects for the cable channel via a new first-look deal with Universal Cable Productions. Also in the works is an adaptation of Daryl Gregory's book "We Are All Completely Fine," about Dr. Jan Sayer, "an enigmatic psychologist who gathers survivors of five horror-movie scenarios in a support group - and unwittingly unlocks the evils of her patients' pasts." He'll write and direct the potential hour with Captivate Entertainment's Ben Smith and Jeffrey Weiner and Industry Entertainment's Sara Bottfeld also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood have signed on to star in ABC's proposed "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" spin-off as Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter, respectively, however details about the project remain under wraps (Deadline.com); Mitch Pileggi will reprise his role as Walter Skinner on FOX's upcoming revival of "The X-Files" (@MitchPileggi1); Regina King has joined the cast of "The Leftovers" as Erika Murphy, "a doctor who runs the local urgent care in the town" (Deadline.com); Craig T. Nelson will appear in four episodes of Netflix's "Grace & Frankie" as a love interest for Jane Fonda's Grace (THR.com); and Gabourey Sidibe's Becky and Ta'Rhonda Jones's Porsha have been upped to series regular on "Empire" (TVLine.com).
