EDGE (Amazon, New!) - Fred Dekker and Shane Black are looking to bring George Gilman's spaghetti Western books to the small screen. Amazon has given a pilot order to the project, which Black will direct. Barry Josephson and David Greenblatt are also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)


GOOD GIRLS REVOLT, THE (Amazon, New!) - Dana Calvo ("Covert Affairs") is spearheading a new drama pilot at the digital distributor billed as "a 1970s drama in the vein of Mad Men that is set at Newsweek." Lynda Obst and Anonymous Content's Jeff Okin will also executive produce for Sony Pictures Television. (Deadline.com)


PAIGE & FRANKIE (Disney Channel, New!) - Newcomers Olivia Rodrigo and Madison Hu are set to star in a new comedy pilot at the network about "two 12 year-old up-and-coming musicians who write and perform comedic songs about their everyday lives. They believe in themselves and - although they have a limited fanbase and perform gigs in barbershops and basements - they are determined to achieve their dream of becoming famous artists." Co-executive producers Kyle Stegina and Josh Lehrman are behind the half-hour with Marc Warren attached to direct and executive produce. Production begins next month. (Variety.com)


PATRIOT, THE (Amazon, New!) - Steve Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness) has snagged a pilot commitment from Amazon for "a comedic thriller/family dramedy about a father working at the state department and his two sons, a senator and a Iraq war veteran with PTSD who wants to be a folk singer." No other auspices were given. (Deadline.com)


TRIAL (Amazon, New!) - David E. Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro have scored a pilot order from the digital distributor for a new legal drama. No other specifics were given about the project. (Deadline.com)


2015-16 BROADCAST PILOTS... - Michael McDonald's role on The CW's "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" will be recast following its migration from Showtime (Deadline.com).
