"America's Best Dance Crew: Road to the VMAs" Premieres Wednesday, July 29th at 11:00 P.M. ET/PT

Santa Monica, CA (July 7, 2015) - MTV will heat up this summer when six all-star dance crews - including five previous champions - take to the "America's Best Dance Crew" ("ABDC") stage to battle for dance supremacy and cement their "ABDC" legacy. Dream match-ups become reality as seasons clash and crews face off in the ultimate battle to see who is the best of the best. The five returning crews include Super Cr3W (season 2 champions), Quest Crew (season 3 champions), We Are Heroes (season 4 champions), I.aM.mE (season 6 champions) and Elektrolytes (season 7 champions); taking the "ABDC" stage for the first time are Kinjaz (which include members from season 1 crews Jabbawockeez and Kaba Modern). "ABDC" is hosted by Jason Dundas ("Entertainment Tonight") and the judging panel includes hip hop superstar T-Pain, G.O.O.D. Music recording artist Teyana Taylor and television and Broadway performer Frankie Grande.

MTV will reinvent the hit competition series with six all-new "Video Music Award"-themed episodes. Each week the all-star crews will have to create routines inspired by "VMA"-related elements and challenges. The winner will be crowned in the live finale episode, set to air as the lead-in to the "2015 MTV Video Music Awards" Pre-Show on Sunday, August 30th at 4:00pm ET/PT.

Super Cr3W Season 2 "ABDC" Champions Las Vegas, NV Super Cr3w is comprised of the best of the best, with three well-known b-boy crews - Battle Monkees, Full Force and Knucklehead Zoo. Their talent is unquestionable and their abilities are endless. Since appearing on "ABDC" in 2008, the crew has opened three dance studios, including one in Las Vegas. In addition, members have appeared in numerous movies such as "Battle of the Year" "Planet Bboy," and "Honey 2" and commercials for "Pepsi Smash." Following a personal invitation from First Lady Michelle Obama, Super Cr3w is also the only hip hop crew to showcase at the White House. The crew has also appeared in music videos & toured with the likes of Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Fergie, Paul McCartney, Missy Elliott, Christina Aguilera and J.LO and recently headlined as the principal cast along side their brothers the Jabbawockeez to open their Las Vegas shows "MUS.I.C" and "Prism." Despite their busy schedules, the crew is ready to reunite and bring everything they have to the "ABDC" stage.

Quest Crew Season 3 "ABDC" Champions Los Angeles, CA Quest Crew is a group of close friends with a common love for dance and the arts. From b-boying to tutting to martial arts, each member brings their own specialty and style to the stage with a great mix of humor, musicality and innovative choreography. Following their season three win, Quest Crew rose to international fame as they wowed audiences in Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and performed with artists such as Usher, LMFAO, Snoop Dogg, and Far East Movement. Packed with high-flying, eye-popping tricks, and larger-than-life personalities, Quest Crew definitely has a style like no other.

We Are Heroes Season 4 "ABDC" Champions Los Angeles, CA The first and only female crew to win the "ABDC" title, We Are Heroes prides itself on its diversity, as the seven members come from all different parts of the world. After winning season four the girls embarked on a whirlwind trip of appearances and performances around the world. They appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show three times, were featured on "Oprah" and performed alongside artists such as Justin Bieber and Rihanna. In the past couple of years the group has gone their separate ways, pursuing individual dance careers in different facets, however once the girls heard about the show returning they were ecstatic to get the crew back together, and are coming for the other crews with an arsenal loaded with both new members and new tricks.

I.aM.mE Season 6 "ABDC" Champions Houston, TX I.aM.mE refers to their unique dance style as "brain banging," a series of connections and large-scale visuals that create shapes and puzzles with the human body. This innovative style not only won over the judges and viewers in season six but it opened doors for the crew to spread this style and their knowledge of dance with fans across the globe. Since winning the "ABDC" title in season six, the crew pursued individual careers as dancers and choreographers, appearing alongside artists such as Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. Fans will also recognize some familiar faces this time around as members from past crews 8 Flavahz and Phunk Phenomenon have joined up once again take on the competition.

Elektrolytes Season 7 "ABDC" Champions Gilbert, AZ The desert boys from Arizona are the reigning champions of ABDC and are ready to prove themselves once again. Since winning season seven, these eight friends toured coast to coast as well as internationally, thrilling thousands of fans with their dynamic stunts, intricate choreography and trademark high energy. Off of their success they have also performed at the Latin Grammys and continue to be the driving force of the thriving Arizona Hip Hop community. They call themselves Elektrolytes because dance fuels their body, and they are ready to take America by storm once again!

Kinjaz Los Angeles, CA Making their "ABDC" debut, the Kinjaz are a brotherhood of crusaders (comprised of former team leaders who used to compete against each other) on a quest to fearlessly explore the depths of their artistic purpose. Members hail from many reputable California dance companies including top "ABDC" crews such as the Jabbawockeez (season one champions) and Kaba Modern (season one contenders). This crew will quickly become an "ABDC" fan favorite with their intricate choreography and creative storytelling, showing fans they have what it takes to compete against some of the top crews in "ABDC" history.

Fans can hashtag #ABDC and follow the @ABDCINSIDER on Twitter and "like" the official ABDC page on Facebook.

"ABDC" is shot on location in Los Angeles, where dance crews perform their hottest moves for dance supremacy and a $100,000 cash prize. Every performance-themed episode gives insight into the crews' emotion, spirit and inspiration as they step up to the challenge and show-off their ground-breaking choreography. Judges will eliminate crews each week, and viewers around the country will vote during the LIVE finale episode to choose the nation's best dance crew.
