ONE MAN VERSUS ONE FLY. ONE MINUTE TO KILL IT.

GSN PRESENTS THE EPIC BATTLE OF THE AGES: "MAN V FLY" AIRING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12 DURING 10:30 PM ET/PT TIME SLOT

Competitors Have One Minute to Kill An Ordinary Housefly With Their Weapon of Choice, or Leave in Disgrace As the Fly Goes Free

Sneak Preview of the TV Event Posted to YouTube channels GSNVideos & Door3 and New Episodes Posted Every Week

August 11, 2015 - Santa Monica, CA - GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, takes a bold step forward into the world of sports, with an event which will be more hotly contested than the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight - the debut of MAN V FLY, where contestants face off against the ultimate pest in the ultimate test. The rules of the game are simple: you have one minute to kill your fly for a cash prize, or leave in disgrace and the fly wins its freedom. The new short-form interstitial series debuts on GSN on Wednesday, August 12 in the 10:30pm ET/PT timeslot immediately following IDIOTEST. The network is also currently featuring a sneak preview on their YouTube channels (GSNVideos & Door3).

Armed with just one weapon - a squash player with his racquet and ball, a knight with his sword, a diver with a fish, or a boxer with his gloved hands - each man or woman enters the Fly Dome, a sealed, white padded cell. The fly then enters the arena through a glass enclosure and the battle begins. Each bout is introduced by announcer John Mate and includes analysis from legendary Pro Fly Swatting Champion Pat Cowell, who give viewers an in-depth look at the competition and announce the play-by-play, irreverently analyzing the idiocy and genius at hand.

IDIOTEST host and producer Ben Gleib will also be a part of the festivities, introducing each segment as the face of the new GSN Sports, created solely for MAN V FLY so that viewers at home will be in on the parody. Each self-contained 3-to-5 minute episode will air as special programming on the network in selected timeslots. GSN will also post a new bout on the GSNVideos and Door3 YouTube channels each Saturday.

"I think everyone can relate to being annoyed by a fly buzzing around and around, and around," says Amy Introcaso-Davis, executive vice president, programming at GSN. "The team at Gogglebox has taken that annoyance to its illogical extreme and turned it into an epic sport, with deadly serious contestants but hilarious scenarios that you can't stop watching."

MAN V FLY is produced by UK-based Gogglebox Entertainment ("Release the Hounds," "Plain Jane"), a joint venture with Sony Pictures Television. Executive producers are Mat Steiner, Adam Wood and Sam Pollard.
