TALK NERDY TO ME (CBS, New!) - Morgan Murphy ("2 Broke Girls") has scored a pilot production commitment from the Eye for a new multi-camera comedy about "four smart, ambitious, twenty-something women - two computer programmers, a musician and a doctor - who share a house on the canals in Venice, CA, and support one another as they reach for their dreams professionally and personally." Warner Bros. Television-based Jerry Bruckheimer Television is behind the half-hour, which is based on Jen Friel's blog of the same name. Bill Wrubel, Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman are also executive producing while KristieAnne Reed co-executive produces. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - NBC has shuttered its proposed revival of "Coach" following the taping of its pilot episode on August 21 (Deadline.com); Daniel Barnz has been tapped to write and direct ABC Family's "Valentina," a domestic take on the RCTV telenovela, as well as executive produce alongside his We're Not Brothers Productions' partner Ben Barnz (Deadline.com); Liam Hemsworth is set to drop by ABC's reboot of "The Muppets" (Instagram.com); Shohreh Aghdashloo will guest on "Elementary" as "a glamorous international hotelier who's in negotiations with Sherlock's dad (John Noble)" (TVLine.com); Amy Okuda will recur on "How to Get Away with Murder" in a yet-to-be-revealed role (Variety.com); and Tony Todd has been tapped to voice DC Comics villain Zoom on "The Flash" (Variety.com).
