VH1 KEEPS THE GAME GOING WITH A FIFTH SEASON GREENLIGHT FOR "BASKETBALL WIVES: LA"

Tune in for the "Basketball Wives: LA" Season Four Finale on Sunday, October 4th at 9PM ET/PT and the Reunion Special on Sunday, October 11th at 9PM ET/PT

Los Angeles, CA (September 23, 2015) - VH1 is taking no timeouts with "Basketball Wives: LA." The network announced the hit reality series is picked up for a fifth season.

The fourth season of "Basketball Wives: LA" has made VH1 the #1 cable network on average in the Sunday 9PM time period with Women 18-34.* In addition, the 9PM premiere episodes have posted triple digit gains with the demo versus year ago levels* (+157%).

"Basketball Wives: LA" season four was explosive. Draya Michele, Malaysia Pargo, Brandi Maxiell, and Jackie Christie returned to the court ready for drama. And Queen Bee and Executive Producer, Shaunie O'Neal, joined the LA crew this season to try to keep the peace. Jackie brought in friend and basketball girlfriend, Mehgan James. Also joining the clique was wife of player Eddy Curry and Malaysia's friend, Patrice Curry, as well as Draya's friend, fashion designer and ex- girlfriend of Tyreke Evens, Angel Brinks. Between the new personalities, major life challenges, and old resentments, even Shaunie soon realized that the LA ladies are a very challenging group. When her old time East coast buddy, Tami Roman, joined the cast, the Basketball Wives: Miami / LA cast divide was set in stone. Don't miss the fourth season finale on Sunday, October 4th at 9PM ET/PT and catch up with ladies on the Reunion Special on Sunday, October 11th at 9PM ET/PT.

"Basketball Wives: LA" is produced by Shed Media. Executive producers for Shed Media are Pam Healey, Lisa Shannon, Sean Rankine, Mark Seliga and Amanda Scott. Shaunie O'Neal is an executive producer. Executive producers for VH1 are Susan Levison, Jill Holmes, Fernando Mills and Paula Aranda.
