Los Angeles - This week, the focus of the sporting world turns to the diamond for the crescendo of the 2015 Major League Baseball season - the playing of the 111th World Series, presented exclusively for the 18th consecutive year by FOX Sports. The red-hot New York Mets, fresh off of a four-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs to capture their fifth National League pennant, return to the Fall Classic for the first time since 2000 and face two-time defending American League champion Kansas City Royals, who are seeking to win the final game of 2015 after falling one game short a year ago.

FOX Sports again offers fans extensive, multi-platform coverage on FOX broadcast network, FS1, FOX Sports Regional Networks, FOX Deportes, FOXSports.com, FOX Sports GO and FOX Sports Radio, with extensive coverage of the World Series from the first pitch to the final out.

Beginning with Game 1 in Kansas City on Tuesday, Oct. 27, seven-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Joe Buck calls his 18th World Series, and is joined by analysts Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci, each of whom are notching their second Fall Classic in the booth. MLB on FOX insider, FOXSports.com senior baseball writer and Emmy Award winner Ken Rosenthal, and veteran reporter Erin Andrews contribute interviews and information from the dugouts before, during and after games.

Kevin Burkhardt anchors FOX Sports' World Series pregame and postgame coverage presented by Chevrolet live on site. Pregame shows for all weeknight World Series games begin at 7:00 PM ET on FS1 and Burkhardt is joined for all pregame and postgame shows by an eclectic team of analysts that includes Hall of Famer and 2005 World Series champion Frank Thomas, three-time World Series champion and MLB all-time hits leader Pete Rose, three-time American League MVP and 2009 World Series champion Alex Rodriguez and 19-year veteran and former All-Star Raúl Ibañez. Tuesday night's Game 1 pregame show includes a special feature centered on Mets second baseman and postseason hero Daniel Murphy.

In what has become a FOX Sports' big-event tradition, coverage of the World Series begins as a family tomorrow night as multiple FOX Networks and FOX Sports Regional Networks band together at 8:00 PM ET to officially christen Game 1 coverage. All channels simultaneously carry a 30-second message from Kansas City, and the channels participating include Big Ten Network, FXX, National Geographic Channel, FS1, FS2, most FSRNs, FOX Sports Radio and FOXSports.com.

Technological production enhancements have always been part of the DNA of FOX Sports and MLB games have served as a platform for many, including Dirt Cam, SSLMO, Hawkeye and Phantom Cam, in addition to a continued commitment to enhanced Dolby 5.1 audio the technological firepower deployed for this year's World Series keeps FOX Sports' coverage on the cutting edge, and includes:
