INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY LAUNCHES FIRST VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE IN ADVANCE OF A NEW SEASON OF "A CRIME TO REMEMBER"

-- Emmy Award-Winning Series Returns for Season 3 Tomorrow, Transporting Viewers into Crimes of Yesteryear --

(Silver Spring, Md.) - Investigation Discovery's two-time Emmy winning series, A CRIME TO REMEMBER, returns for a provocative third season on Tuesday, November 10 at 10/9c. The eight-part series showcases the most compelling crimes that shook the nation from the 1930s to the '70s. This series is ID's most cinematic, with historically detailed storytelling that profile a classic era of innocence shattered by murder. Before the premiere, step into a simpler time to unravel these shocking crimes with the ACrimeToRemember.com immersive experience, a digital and interactive collage that highlights the crimes that defined the times. Explore ID's first foray into virtual reality with a 360 virtual crime scene where users can navigate a crime scene of the era by the touch of their mouse or a turn of their phone. "Investigation Discovery's viewers love to be fully immersed in our content, to unravel clues and investigate with detectives on screen as the story unfolds," said Kevin Bennett, general manager of Investigation Discovery. "We're excited to introduce this entirely new way to experience A CRIME TO REMEMBER, with a virtual reality experience designed to transport viewers directly into a carefully crafted crime scene investigation from a not-so innocent age."

A CRIME TO REMEMBER's feature film style cinematography represents the time period with authenticity and flair, earning the series back-to-back News & Documentary Emmy(R) wins for its artful execution in the craft category of Outstanding Lighting & Scenic Design. Each hour of A CRIME TO REMEMBER plays out like a dramatic period thriller, providing a commentary on society while highlighting the cultural taboos and social norms that confined the times.

The series steps into the past and unravels the intricacies of real-life murder cases spanning from the '30s through the '70s. Each narrative is driven by the voice of a fictional bystander who "knew" the victim, while reporters and police who lived through the actual case explain how the impact of the crime and investigation sent shockwaves through the community. A CRIME TO REMEMBER showcases the most compelling crimes of our past, when murder erupted from the same dark places as today, but the cops had to catch the killer with little more than a fingerprint duster and a Rolodex.

The first half of episode featured in season three of A CRIME TO REMEMBER are as follows:

Lock Up Your Daughters Premieres Tuesday, November 10 at 10/9c Gaffney, South Carolina, 1968: Take out three sheets of paper," a deep voice drawls over the phone. "Write down these three names." What the anonymous caller tells the local reporter kicks off the most chilling and high-stakes investigation the sleepy town of Gaffney has ever seen. The mystery caller sends police on a morbid treasure hunt - and the prize at each site is a dead body. But the killer isn't finished yet. Then, another girl is abducted. With three dead bodies on their hands and the threat of more to come, the local police race against the clock to catch a brazen killer before he claims his next victim.

Last Night Stand Premieres Tuesday, November 17 at 10/9c New York, NY, 1973: When Roseann Quinn, a kind, bookish schoolteacher for deaf children, is found brutally murdered in her Upper West Side apartment, detectives think it looks personal. But who would commit such violence against this well-liked, upstanding member of her community? In order to catch the killer, detectives must immerse themselves in the swinging and sordid scenes of New York City 1970s nightlife. One woman's murder shouldn't be big news in a crime-ridden city of eight million people, but when the media gets their hands on this case, the private details of Roseann's tragedy will be exploited for the whole world to see.

And Then There Was One Premieres Tuesday, November 24 at 10/9c Chicago, IL, 1966: It starts with a simple knock on a bedroom door, and begins one of the most infamous mass murders in American history. A strange man enters the home of nursing students and systematically tortures, rapes, and murders eight young women, then disappears into the night. But this stranger leaves behind more than just a bloodbath. Breathing quietly under a bed, hands and feet bound, lies a young woman who was able to escape the horrific fate of her friends. Armed with only her simple description of the man, the entire Chicago PD is mobilized, on the hunt for a monster so cunning he can walk amongst ordinary people undetected. The investigation follows a series of wild twists and turns as police coordinate a citywide dragnet to capture one of the most violent criminals in history before he strikes again.

Such a Pretty Face Premieres Tuesday, December 1 at 10/9c New York, NY, 1937: A lovely Easter Sunday turns deadly when Veronica Gedeon and two others are discovered murdered. In this depression-era economy, Veronica made a living posing nude for artists and true crime magazines - could the killer have been a spurned lover, inflamed by her provocative pictures and enraged by her rejection? Using Veronica's scrawled diary as a guide, police delve into the secret life of a pin-up model still living with her un-approving and estranged parents. But it will take an enterprising reporter to prompt the investigation to a darker turn. Religion, art, and madness come together in this twisted New York City tale of love and obsession.
