Electus International and RCTV to Sell "Jane the Virgin" Format Around the World

ELECTUS INTERNATIONAL AND RCTV TO SELL "JANE THE VIRGIN" FORMAT AROUND THE WORLD

Electus Partnering with CBS Television Studios and RCTV to Bring the Critically Acclaimed Series to a Global Audience, Beginning with Kanal D in Turkey

(Los Angeles, CA) - December 15, 2015 -- Multimedia entertainment studio Electus, an operating business of IAC (NASDAQ: IACI), today announced that Electus International, in conjunction with CBS Television Studios and RCTV, will sell and license the format to the award winning series Jane The Virgin. Electus International brought the series to market earlier this year, and will handle all format sales with the exception of Latin America, which will be handled by RCTV.

As a result of the partnership, Electus International also announces the first deal secured is a straight to series order on Kanal D in Turkey. The series was produced by Medyapim, one of the leading producers in Turkey. The deal was put together by Sera Films' consultancy services, which secured the commission of a minimum of 22 episodes. Jane The Virgin debuted in Turkey and rated strongly, with a 40% increase in ratings and a 50% increase in share of the channel, both over the previous week in the same time slot.

The Golden Globe(R) nominated series Jane The Virgin, produced by CBS Television Studios and distributed internationally by CBS Studios International, is an adaptation of Venezuela's RCTV telenovela Juana La Virgen. The CW series chronicles the story of aspiring writer Jane Villanueva, played by Golden Globe winning actress Gina Rodriguez, who is accidentally artificially inseminated and subsequently struggles to navigate her relationships with the biological father, her boyfriend and her religious mother. Written and executive produced by Jennie Snyder Urman and executive produced by Electus founder Ben Silverman, RCTV's Jorge Granier, and Aquarius TV's Gary Pearl, Jane The Virgin won a Peabody Award, the AFI Program of the Year, People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Comedy, Gina Rodriguez picked up the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Comedy and the series was nominated for best TV Comedy at the Golden Globe Awards.
