EXTREMELY DECENT (FX, New!) - Extremely Decent, an L.A.-based comedy troupe, has sold a comedy pilot to the cable channel. The project, to be executive produced by Dan Harmon ("Community"), "will be a stop-motion-animated half-hour comedy about millennials navigating life in the big city." Authentic Talent and Literary Management is producing. (THR.com)
KILL JILL (ABC, New!) - Laura Solon ("Hot in Cleveland") has sold a single-camera comedy to the Alphabet about "an idealistic graduate who's desperate to escape her small hometown. She takes a job with a glamorous West Coast businesswoman who appears to have it all - including a plot against her life." Patricia Heaton and David Hunt also serve as executive producers via their Warner Bros. Television-based FourBoys Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED CISNEROS & SHUMAN PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Eduardo Cisneros (Instructions Not Included) and Jason Shuman (Lone Survivor) are set to team for a new drama at the network "described as a modern Romeo and Juliet tale set against the backdrop of Los Angeles' new Latino wealth in the music and radio industry." 20th Century Fox Television is producing. AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Vin Diesel's One Race Television has signed a multi-year, first-look production deal with Universal Television (Deadline.com); Corbin Bleu will guest on "The Fosters" as Mercutio, "who appears in Brandon (David Lambert)'s Romeo and Juliet musical, which serves as his senior project" (THR.com); Adam Stafford has been cast as Adam Fells, better known as DC Comics villain Geomancer, on "The Flash" (ComicBook.com); NBC has quietly bumped the return of "Grimm" back one week to January 29 (@GrimmWriters); Regina Hall is bound for "Grandfathered" as "a confident, successful, intimidating CEO of a tech company" (EW.com); and Lauren Urasek and Laura Barcella's "Popular: The Ups and Downs of Online Dating From the Most Popular Girl in New York City" is being developed as a comedy series by ABC Signature (THR.com).
