TRAVEL CHANNEL'S ANDREW ZIMMERN CONTINUES HIS CULINARY TOUR FOR THIRD SEASON OF "BIZARRE FOODS: DELICIOUS DESTINATIONS"

Discover Dishes That Define Global Locations Including Sicily, Seattle, Manila and More - Premiering Tuesday, January 26 at 9:00 P.M. ET/PT

NEW YORK (January 6, 2016) - Travel Channel satisfies curious taste buds with the return of "Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations," an extension of the long-running and popular "Bizarre Foods" franchise, premiering Tuesday, January 26 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by James Beard Award-winning chef and culinary explorer Andrew Zimmern, the third season returns with 14 all-new half-hour episodes, plus six hour-long episodes, highlighting not-to-be-missed foods that define a location. Most travelers want to experience the local favorites, whether it's classic cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, authentic satay in Singapore or traditional falafel in Tel Aviv. But how many really know the origins of these iconic foods, how they are prepared and the right way to eat them?

Zimmern takes viewers into the kitchens where generations of chefs prepare and serve the cities' most beloved dishes. This season's international tour explores quintessential dishes from a variety of destinations including Seattle, Honolulu, Louisville, Portugal, Sicily, Puerto Rico and Manila.

"'Delicious Destinations' is an amazingly addictive snackable experience that was born entirely of the viewer's desire to know what to eat when they travel, and why," says Zimmern. "The new season is our best to date and takes you to some of my favorite haunts in my favorite cities around the world."

In the premiere episode of "Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations," airing Tuesday, January 26 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, Zimmern heads to Memphis, Tenn., a city where napkins are a necessity and BBQ is a religion. Exploring Memphis' iconic eats, from fried catfish and thick bologna to juicy ribs and the famous Elvis sandwich, he uncovers flavors that will get viewers all shook up!

"Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations" is executive produced by Andrew Zimmern and Tremendous! Entertainment. Executive producers for Tremendous! are Colleen Needles Steward, Shannon Keenan Demers and Tammy Bloom. For Travel Channel, the executive producer is David E. Gerber.
