AHC CELEBRATES HEROES WHO MAKE HISTORY WITH ACTION-PACKED FIRST QUARTER PROGRAMMING SLATE
(Pasadena, Cal.) - American Heroes Channel (AHC) announced today an action-packed first quarter programming slate, featuring premieres of thrilling series and specials that celebrate the unsung heroes of history. Week after week, AHC offers viewers compelling, emotional stories of pivotal moments from our nation's past that helped shape our society today.
Headlining AHC's first quarter slate are premieres of two specials that honor heroes throughout US history. Up first, JUSTICE FOR MLK: THE HUNT FOR JAMES EARL RAY, following the ultimate game of cat-and-mouse to hunt down one of the most wanted men in history... Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s killer. The two-hour special premieres Sunday, January 17 at 9/8c and features exclusive interviews with some of Dr. King's closest friends and confidants. Next, AHC goes back to the Wild West with WESTERN WEEK, which is anchored by the premiere of THE COWBOY on Saturday, January 23 at 9/8c. A two-part television event, THE COWBOY explores the origins behind the American film icon - the cowboy.
First quarter also features premieres of two new original series, BLOOD FEUDS and AMERICANLAWMEN. BLOOD FEUDS - premiering Wednesday, January 6 at 10/9c - delves into six of the most epic vendettas, simmering tensions, and bitter hatred that fueled our nation's most iconic rivalries. From disturbing the peace to protecting it, AHC shifts gears with the premiere of AMERICAN LAWMEN on Wednesday, February 17 at 10/9c. This eight episode series chronicles the story of the brave citizens who first picked up the badge and helped establish law enforcement during one of the United States' most tumultuous times.
In addition, AHC will return several signature series, including the network's flagship program, AGAINST THE ODDS. Narrated by Blair Underwood, AGAINST THE ODDS kicks off its sophomore season on Monday, February 15 at 10/9cwith all-new awe-inspiring stories of bravery, solidarity and strength on the battlefield. Next, AHC welcomes back its favorite teacher and history buff Joe Moniaci, who tells the lesser-known side of history in an all-new season of WHATHISTORY FORGOT, kicking off on Tuesday, March 1 at 10/9c.
