Netflix's Kevin James Action/Comedy True Memoirs of an International Assassin Announces Cast

NETFLIX'S KEVIN JAMES ACTION/COMEDY TRUE MEMOIRS OF AN INTERNATIONAL ASSASSIN ANNOUNCES CAST

Beverly Hills, CA, February 3, 2016 - Netflix announces the cast of the upcoming action/comedy original film True Memoirs of an International Assassin, directed by Jeff Wadlow (Kick Ass 2) and starring Kevin James (Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2) . A mild-mannered would-be author gets mistaken for a killer-for-hire when his fictional novel about an international assassin is published as a true story. The book is a huge success and he is suddenly kidnapped and taken to Venezuela and forced into an assassination plot. The film will premiere on the streaming service in 2016.

Joining James is Zulay Henao (The Single Moms Club), Andy Garcia (Kill the Messenger), Maurice Compte (Netflix's Narcos), Kelen Coleman (CBS The McCarthy's), Andrew Howard (Taken 3), Rob Riggle (22 Jump Street), Leonard Earl Howze (TNT's Memphis Beat), Yul Vazquez (Lifetime Networks The Lottery) and Kim Coates (FX Network's Sons of Anarchy).

Principal photography began in Atlanta on November 16, 2015 and will wrap in the Dominican Republic on February 12.

The film is a co-production between Kevin Frakes, Mark Fasano and Ankur Rungta of PalmStar Media, Todd Garner of Broken Road Productions and Raja Collins and Justin Begnaud of Global Film Group. The script was written by Jeff Morris and Jeff Wadlow. Guy Riedel serves as executive producer. The rest of the filmmaking team includes director of photography Peter Collister (Underworld: Awakening), production designer Toby Corbett (Pitch Perfect 2), and costume designer Lizz Wolf (The Expendables 3). The film is being edited by Sean Albertson (The Expendables 3).
