DNCE SET TO PERFORM AT THE 2016 KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS
Nickelodeon announced that Los Angeles quartet DNCE will take the stage at the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards, performing their hit single "Cake by the Ocean." The high-energy performance will extend beyond the stage, into the audience, culminating in an epic slime dousing. Hosted by Country music superstar and coach panelist on NBC's The Voice Blake Shelton, the show will air live from the "Fabulous" Forum in Inglewood, Calif., on Saturday, March 12, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
Nominated for their first time for "Favorite New Artist," DNCE's debut single, "Cake by the Ocean," is now a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, and recently broke into the top 10 at Top 40 radio. The song is also currently in the top 10 on the iTunes Top Songs Chart and Shazam's Top 100 US Chart and Top 20 on Spotify's US Top 50 Chart. To date, overall streams exceed 70 million, while video views are over 17 million and counting. The band's debut EP, SWAAY (Republic Records), entered the Top 10 on the iTunes Pop Chart upon its release last October. DNCE will be the opening act for multi-platinum singer and actress Selena Gomez' 2016 "Revival Tour" this summer, which kicks off on May 6th.
Additional presenters for the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards will be announced at a later date.
