Declare February 25 as "The Big Bang Theory Day"
Burbank, CA - February 25, 2016 - As if having your own honorary day wasn't enough, the City of Pasadena is helping The Big Bang Theory further celebrate its 200th episode milestone by providing the hit comedy series with an honorary street designation! The honorary street sign, which reads "Big Bang Theory Alley," will be installed in the coming weeks near Pasadena City Hall, and follows the recent proclamation declaring today as "The Big Bang Theory Day" within the city limits.
The actual street sign was revealed to the cast for the first time during an appearance on Conan last night. To view the segment, click here: https://teamcoco.com/node/93357
"The City of Pasadena is proud of its comedic and scientific association with The Big Bang Theory," Pasadena Councilmember Andy Wilson said. "Pasadena was already known throughout the world for having the foremost astronomers, chemists and scientific thinkers who do very serious work here, but thanks to The Big Bang Theory, being smart in Pasadena is now fun too. "
The Big Bang Theory airs its 200th episode on Thursday, February 25 (8/7c on CBS). In the episode "The Celebration Experimentation," the gang finally celebrates Sheldon's birthday with a few special guests, including Christine Baranski, Sara Gilbert, Wil Wheaton and Batman's Adam West.
Currently in its ninth season, The Big Bang Theory is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Starring Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch, the hit comedy series airs Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS, as well as five nights a week on TBS and in syndication.
