SOUTHERN SWEETHEART JOELLE "JO JO" FLETCHER IS BACK!

The Fan Favorite Returns to Find Her Prince Charming, Starring on "The Bachelorette"

ABC's Hit Romance Reality Series Premieres for Its 12th Season May 23

Jo Jo Fletcher first stole America's heart on Ben Higgin's season of "The Bachelor," where she charmed both Ben and Bachelor Nation with her bubbly personality and sweet, girl-next-door wit and spunk. As their relationship progressed, the Texas real estate developer struggled to open up. However, once she found herself falling for Ben, she finally shared her feelings and became one of the final two women vying to be the future Mrs. Higgins. In a shocking twist, Ben confessed his love to both Jo Jo and Lauren B., leaving them in a state of cautious chaotic optimism that they would be "the one." Ultimately, Jo Jo was left heartbroken in Jamaica when Ben chose to let her go in one of the most emotionally gut-wrenching finales ever. But that experience didn't stop her desire to find her perfect soul mate - it only made it stronger. Jo Jo will embark on her own journey to find love when she stars in the 12th edition of "The Bachelorette," which will premiere on MONDAY, MAY 23 on the ABC Television Network. The identity of the new Bachelorette was revealed tonight, live, on "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose."

Feeling confused and blindsided, Jo Jo, 25, not only had to deal with the emptiness of walking away from the future she envisioned with Ben, but the aftermath of the crushing breakup, knowing that a part of her would always love him. After returning home to Dallas, Jo Jo found solace in the love of her parents, three older brothers and sister. No stranger to the outdoors, Jo Jo enjoys traveling, sports, country music and playing with her dog, Jackson. Growing up the daughter of two doctors, she attended Baylor University and received her BA in Medical Humanities, ready to follow in their footsteps. However, shortly after graduation, Jo Jo found her true passion: real estate development. Five years later, she runs a thriving business of her own, building homes from the ground up and renting to students in the Waco area.

With her family's support, an open heart and a new perspective on the possibilities of finding true love, Jo Jo will embark on finding her "unicorn" - her once-in-a-lifetime love. Will she face the unpredictable heartache of falling in love with more than one man? All she is sure of is that she found love once with Ben on "The Bachelor" and feels sure that this second time will be her charm, and wants everyone to come along for the ride.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelorette" is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss, Elan Gale, Bennett Graebner, Peter Scalettar and Nicole Woods are the executive producers. "The Bachelorette" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 stereo surround sound.
