NEW EPISODES OF PARTICIPANT MEDIA ORIGINAL SERIES "ANGRY PLANET" TO PREMIERE ON PIVOT ON APRIL 1 KICKING OFF EARTH MONTH PROGRAMMING

All At Once: On the Road, a Documentary Following Eco-friendly Musician Jack Johnson on Tour, to Make U.S. TV Premiere During the Month

Los Angeles, CA - March 17, 2016 -- Participant Media today announced that new episodes of its eco-adventure series, "Angry Planet," will premiere on Pivot on April 1 at 7 p.m. ET/PT, kicking off Pivot's Earth Month programming. The network also announced it has acquired the U.S. television rights to All At Once: On the Road, a documentary following the environmentally friendly tour of musician Jack Johnson, and How to Change the World, a film that explores the roots of the Greenpeace organization. Finally, Earth Month will be celebrated throughout April on air with Earth-friendly titles from Pivot's library.

Every Friday at 7 p.m. ET/PT, starting April 1, storm chaser George Kourounis is back at it again in "Angry Planet." This season, Kourounis investigates deforestation in Laos, the coldest city on Earth in Siberia, and monsoons in Bangladesh, traveling the globe and documenting the extreme nature of the planet's weather. Kourounis dives head first into the most hazardous conditions and explains how these environmental changes have unmistakable consequences.

In addition to "Angry Planet," Pivot will air an Earth-focused feature documentary every Wednesday in April at 7 p.m. ET, beginning with the U.S. television premiere of All At Once: On the Road on April 6. The film takes an intimate look into Grammy(R) nominated musician Jack Johnson's 2014 U.S. west coast tour that strove to create as little negative impact on the Earth as possible. From traveling on biodiesel-powered buses to sourcing organic and locally grown meals to carefully disposing of waste created along the way, viewers will have a first-hand look at the day-to-day life of touring and Johnson's commitment to the environment every step of the way.

"Earth Month is such a great opportunity to build momentum around important environmental issues," said musician Jack Johnson. "Every year around this time, I am reminded how fulfilling it can be to come together as a community and collaborate to affect positive change."

How to Change the World will make its U.S. television debut on April 13 at 7 p.m. ET. The film explores the tightknit, passionate friendship that forged the creation of Greenpeace. The film spans the period from the first expedition to enter the nuclear test zone in 1971 through the first whale and seal campaigns, and ends in 1979, when, victims of their own success, the founders gave up their central role to create Greenpeace International..

Finally on Earth Day, April 22, starting at 6 a.m. ET, Pivot's favorite Earth-friendly titles will run back-to-back all day long, including "Angry Planet," Gardeners of Eden, "Human Resources," and "History of the Earth."
